If people would describe you like THIS, you’re in trouble….
I always cared too much about what people thought. I thought that the more similar I could be to the stereotypical idea of success, the more I could earn respect.
At the time, I made this fatal mistake:
I thought BUSY = IMPORTANT
BUSY = SUCCESSFUL
Little did I know, busy is not who or how I wanted to be. Some people make being “busy” or “stressed” their personality 😷
You might love the perceived praise for being so busy all the time...but at the end of the day, you’re exhausted from running on fumes and caffeine ☕️
💻 You can’t remember the last day you didn’t work.You can’t remember the last time you went a whole day without being on your phone.
You say things like “it’s okay because I’m going on vacation next month so I’ll unplug then.”
🚫Being “busy” is not sustainable🚫
So, after deciding I didn’t want to be the “busy” girl, I decided it would be better to be the disciplined, balanced, and efficient girl.
I do more work in less time. I stress less. I do something to enjoy myself every day and I don’t feel bad about it. I teach my clients to do the same because it is the most fulfilling way I’ve found to live.
“Busy” is not a badge of honor, it is a slow drain. Be hard working while you work and a sponge when you stop working. Absorb everything, enjoy everything- it would be a shame if life passed you by while you’re so “busy.” - 34 seconds ago
