Which one is your favorite, first or second? ✨🖤 // I don’t always do wedding signs, but when I do, it’s for someone very special. The first one was for a very traditional, elegant winter wedding and you don’t know how much I had to hold back from adding little stars all over that poster board. (Because it’s all about what the bride and groom want, ya know? 😉) Because yup, it’s just black poster board glued into a used frame with some @posca_usa pens on top. I’m a modern letterer at heart but was thankful for the old time inspiration in @lisa_quine ‘s upcoming book “Vintage Hand Lettering”.
The second one is from 2018 and was for a bride with a very different aesthetic, but still I can see what I call progress in my compositions and that’s the kind of encouragement I needed on this Thursday afternoon. So if you’re ever feeling a little low with where you are with your art, just take a second to look back at your first drawings and attempts and feel proud of everything you’ve accomplished over time.
Whether you’ve been artsy for a week or for a few years, practice makes progress and that progress is something to celebrate:) ☺️💙 I’ll be right here celebrating with you, ok? And have a great rest of your evening, my friends:) - 2 minutes ago
