🤯🧘♂️Men, do you want to know THE truth? About which thought in your head is the *actual* truth...
🙋♂️Most men are logical and live in their heads, with a million voices & reasons telling them what the "truth" is about a situation...
➡️Thought One: "Yeah leave your job man, let's be free, fk all these chumps, we can do this, quit on Monday..."
➡️Thought Two: "What if we mess it up, we'll look really silly... yeah nah, maybe this is a bad idea... what if I can't make it work? What if this is just a stupid idea? Look what happened to Frank..."
Add 10 other thoughts of positivity, negativity & realism.
Now... they're all out there... which one is THE TRUTH!?!? Which one will you ACT on and why!?
Most men will then use even more logic & more of their mind to do things like: build spreadsheets, make pros and cons lists, etc.
Then finally make a decision... feel good for a little bit, then second guess it, variables will change, new information & data will come in & then they'll be just as confused as ever... in a state of doubt & uncertainty & having to redo the "calculations" all over again... sucks.
This was happening to me.
🤼♀️So I relentlessly pursued a solution.
One TOOL I've found to be highly effective is meditation.
And over the last 550 days of meditating, I've come to certain realisations about myself, about my INNER workings...
One is: my thoughts are NOT always the truth, they're not always actual reality.
So how do I know the truth? The truth for me?
... It's after I put my mind and thoughts down...
Then I get into the present moment... not the future... not the past.
And I get into my body/emotions... then even deeper than that...
I get into my gut-feeling & intuition...
That's where I find my truth.
I can FEEL it.
Not think it.
🤯My thoughts no longer control my life... and that's a HUGE piece of the "FREEDOM" puzzle... - 8 minutes ago
