WHO IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR GOALS?
When deciding to take on a new goal whether it’s business related or starting a new fitness regime it is inevitably going to reach periods were it challenges your own commitment.
It’s not the sole responsibility of your coach, friend, or partner to keep you on the path. You need to keep yourself accountable and turn up each week no matter how sore you are, how tough it’s gets, and how much it tests your schedule.
1️⃣Set a longer term goal 12-16 weeks away
2️⃣Set weekly targets that are non negotiable - I’ll turn up to my 4 training sessions every week, I’ll prepare my own breakfast and dinner every day, I’ll sleep for 8hrs per night etc. BE SPECIFIC
3️⃣Set accountability check points/reviews every 1-2 weeks
4️⃣Ask a coach or a friend to help you stay committed or listen to your wins and challenges (not do for you, but support)
5️⃣Find a bigger reason to achieve this goal - because you will want to quit and motivation can be short lived
6️⃣Remind yourself of this reason every day
We’re all human and problems will arise throughout this journey. The road isn’t always a smooth one but that’s what makes it so rewarding when you reach it. Slow progress is better than no progress.
