Did you go out and have a big meal last night? Feeling like an overstuffed teddy bear? You’re probably thinking, “I ate too much, now I’ve gained fat”.

You know that fat takes time to come off, but you sometimes forget that fat takes time to pack on too. So while you may be *feeling* like you packed on a few, the reality is, it’s not fat. Your belly is holding on to water from eating the delicious foods you ate. And you might still be digesting it all too!

You can sometimes mistake bloating and actual stomach content for fat, and you might feel like a ginormous stuffed turkey, but the good news? It’s all temporary.

If I can be honest here for a second…. Coming to the realization and acceptance, that one meal was not going to make or break my progress, wasn’t easy for me. Those demons raise their voices every so often to this day, but consistency with hopping right back on track with no self punishment cardio, no self punishment starvation, and no self punishment crunch-a-thons, I am now able to go out and enjoy myself, be in the moment, and live my life as it was meant to be lived.

So starting today, it’s time to make a change: No more guilt. No more punishment. Just hop back on track with your normal workouts and your nutrition guidelines and keep going. It really is that simple. It’s time to live life guilt free. 💜.

🌸 Pot au feu 🌸

Avec la météo à chier ces derniers temps, et les exams, un plat reconfortant s'imposait : le pot au feu (vegan bien évidemment)

Je me suis amusée à prendre des légumes colorés pour faire sensations dans l'assiette mais aussi pour les valeurs nutritionnelles comme pour le navet boule d'or qui est une bonne source de minéraux.

Pour ce pot au feu vegan j'ai fait le seitan de @la_cuisine_de_jean_philippe que j'ai coupé grossièrement.

Par rapport à un pot au feu carné, la cuisson est bien plus rapide (j'avais préparé mon seitan avant en grande quantité que je congèle) car il y a qu'une heure de cuisson 
Liste des ingrédients : - Navets ordinaire et boules d'or
- Carottes de toutes couleurs : violettes, jaunes, oranges
-Poireaux
-Seitan
-oignon piqué de clou de girofle
-poivre noir (baies)
-miso brun
-cube de légumes (facultatif)
-sel si pas de cube

My whole life, I’ve been told I look unfriendly and most people who are now some of my closest friends have told me that when they first met me they thought I was a bitch ! ⠀

I’ve run into this a lot lately.... “why don’t you like lifting heavy?” There is nothing wrong with lifting doooon’t get me wrong. I love resistence training but I also love challenging my endurance and strength while running and doing HIIT workouts. ⁣
Who cares how heavy you lift or how light you lift or what your style of training you like most is. ⁣
⁣
Or what diet that person might be doing or what she’s eating or why they are doing that but not this. ⁣
⁣
People. ⁣
⁣
We are all finding something through fitness and nutrition to fill our souls and better ourselves in a different way. ⁣

Be kind! ⁣

Embrace each other’s differences and cheer em on as they go! ⁣

A simple and really satisfying salad! (I swear there's greens hidden under there)!! I used grass-fed / grass-finished ground beef (from @belcampomeatco ) cooked in avocado oil, @thespicehouse 'back of the yards' seasoning & chili powder. Served over spinach with cherry tomatoes, avocado & paleo ranch dressing. This one really hit the spot!⠀
