WHAT IS IT❓
Ketamine Hydrochloride (aka. Special K) belongs to a class of drugs called “dissociative anesthetics” that separates perception from sensation. Other substances in this classification are; PCP, DXM, & nitrous oxide. Ketamine was originally created for use as an anesthetic & is still used today for general anesthesia for infants, people with poor health, & veterinarians. Recent studies have shown ketamine infusions can be an effective treatment for depression, & it is sometime prescribed off label for this purpose. The majority of ketamine is diverted from veterinary offices, or legit medical factories in Asia. Medical grade ketamine comes as a liquid, but usually evaporated into a white powder and then snorted or swallowed. .
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS❓
Lower doses of ketamine produce a mild, trance like or floaty feeling. Higher doses produce hallucinogenic & dissociative effects, & may cause an out of body experience. This is often referred to as a “K-hole” & can be compared to a near death experience, with sensations or rising above the body. Some people reported being teleported to a different location. Some people find these experiences spiritually significant, while others find them frightening. It was be very dangerous or difficult to move while in a K-hole. Always remain seated or lying down! The effects last about 30-60 minutes. If ingested orally, it can last up to 2 hours. Some people become nauseous after taking ketamine. .
Most people snort lines or bumps & the effects come on within 5 to 10 minutes (onset can be longer If swallowed). 100mg is usually enough to enter into a dissociative state (aka. K-hole). If the liquid is injected intramuscularly, less is needed to enter a K-hole & effects can be felt within minutes. Ketamine is always injected into the muscle, and never into a vein. .
