I love this quote. You can go to the gym every day, eat well and smile, but if your mind isn’t healthy it’s all wasted.

Honestly I love cooking, I love healthy food, and I love eating good food. So why did I stop doing it? I got lazy, I got tired! After two kids you have endless messes to clean up. And I had to feed a family and not just myself anymore! Can you say snack bitch! 
Oh believe me I started out as crunchy a Mom as could be, I had high standard for what I ate and what my kid ate...But the years chipped away at my dedication and by the second kid all bets were off. 
Not only did I lack energy to do it, I thought of the mess it would make. 
I get it as a mom to want to make cooking easier and I'm all about it. But I also want to make good healthy food for me and my family and sometimes that takes a little more work.
I believe there is a happy middle ground and Im working to get back there... It all started with me taking my health seriously again. Starting a good workout routine  gave me the motivation to cook healthier and the energy to do it. The more I get into fitness the healthier I want to eat. The healthier I eat, the better I want my family to eat.

I'm so invested in my health I'm embracing meal prep.. I thought buying a matching bedroom set would finally make me feel like a grown adult....but no I think planning out my food and meal prepping for the week is the most responsible thing I've ever done. And its rewarding because I'm a pretty good cook.  I'm taking big steps to reach my health goals and dedicating the time to make sure I have my healthy meals planned out. 
I have my health background but the help of the nutrition plan Im following ensures I'm getting enough of what I need and not too much of what I dont need!! My fitness programs have gotten me in the best shape of my life and the nutrition plans that come along with it have a big part of that and have helped me take my health to the next level!

Squat is  a functional exercise meaning that it can help make everyday activities easier, like climbing stair, walking, bend, sit, stand up etc.

Perform squat will strengthen your quads, hamstrings, glutes , adductor, calves while  working your core. With those squat variations you will burn many more calories than if you were to do isolated exercises targeting each of those muscles.

Complete three to six of those exercise at 3/4 times a week, and it will for sure improve your strength, and it will also boost balance, endurance, and flexibility. .

L'exo le plus sympa pour le 🍑 qui n'est pas très compliqué à réaliser si on respecte quelques petites consignes !

On engage ses abdos pour protéger les lombaires et on essaye de garder son bassin au maximum en position neutre. La barre repose juste en dessous des os du bassin sur le haut des quadriceps sinon ça peut faire sacrément mal ^^ J'ai l'habitude de regarder légèrement vers le haut pour garder l'alignement entre les cervicales et la colonne mais si on a des tensions aux cervicales on peut rentrer son menton et regarder devant sans problème ! 
Les pieds sont ni trop loins ni trop proches des fessiers, l'idée c'est surtout de chercher la stabilité et le confort pour pouvoir forcer.

J'oriente légèrement les pieds vers l'extérieur pour recruter davantage les fessiers. (C'est surtout une histoire de sensations)

J'ai aussi pris l'habitude de reposer la barre entre chaque rep comme au deadlift, surtout quand ça devient lourd, c'est d'ailleurs comme ça que fait l'inventeur du mouvement la plupart du temps !

I tagged some of my inspiration here. The class philosophy and movement is a combination of varies yoga and fitness methods, from the @tracyandersonmethod to various barre-styles, ballet, vinyasa yoga and Kundalini yoga. I found this move on someone else’s IG (@gogloow, I think) and created an entire class around it for next month’s program. .
