There are a numerous amount of ways to reach your desired audience.
How you decide to reach them can sometimes be a fickle task.
These days, we have a lot of options.
And I mean a lot.
And this is where I see most people making mistakes.
In business, there are three things we can utilize in the marketplace to be successful.
TIME, ENERGY, and MONEY.
When going through the decision process, think about these 3 words as guidelines and ask yourself the following questions.
How much TIME is this going to take me?
How much Energy is this going to take from me?
How much Money is it going to take?
With these 3 simple questions, you can quickly assess and evaluate which channels are most likely to work for your business.
If you have money but no time and energy, paid advertising is a great option. You can pay an agency to run your ads for you and utilize your time and energy on other important aspects of your business.
If you have time and money, paid advertising is again a great option. You can pay Facebook or Google to buy traffic and run the ads yourself. If you don’t have experience, you can pay to learn and fast track your education.
What if you have no money, but time and energy?
This is sometimes where most people will be, and if you are there, this is where the sweat equity will make or break your business.
But fear not my friends. The risk is always worth it when starting at zero.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
So, if you don't have time or money, the options are endless.
But this doesn’t mean try an endless amount of things.
Pick one channel that fits your audiences target criteria and start there.
Try content marketing aka blogging, YouTube, LinkedIn, SEO, cold email, cold calling, organic social, etc.. You get the point.
With that said, there are 2 options to enter the marketplace.
You can either pay to play or put in the sweat equity.
Choose what’s best for you and pivot from there.
