My aim is to create awareness among the ladies that #Menopause is natural but the negative changes attached to it are not natural and no female deserves to go through these unpleasant changes.
Though there are many concerns, related to Menopause, that I talked about in my last post but one of the most important is the fear of Weight Gain. #Weightgain accompanied by an increased central fat distribution is common among women during menopause or peri-menopause.
Irrespective of the fact that #Estrogen is important for human vitality yet Estrogen Dominance being the evil for almost all the human #pathologies , needs a separate discussion (a bit technical one).
And it's not only the Estrogen Dominance created by hormonal change but the environmental factors, the food we eat, the water, the personal care products, certain medications all contribute to Estrogen Dominance.
Estrogen makes #Cortisol and in addition to this excess fat in your body creates Cortisol too.
Cortisol is a #hormone which does many tasks but excess Cortisol is very #catabolic means it breaks down your #muscle tissues.
Have you ever noticed someone going through menopause losing lot of muscles and gaining abdominal fat? It happens because Cortisol breaks down Muscle Tissues leading to #Atrophy and then this excess sugar in the body gets converted into fat(specifically leading to central obesity) by #Insulin .
Yes, exactly!! during menopause a female not only goes through Fat Gain but excessive Muscle Loss too
