“Don’t worry because you’ll never use them.”

Gyms are typically well equipped with different machines like the leg extension, the hamstring curl, hip abducter, etc. And I can tell you most of my clients will never have a need to use any of them.
⬇️
Many of my clients sit at a desk all day. So why come to the gym to sit more? And sure, you can absolutely make these machines challenging if you use enough weight, but the isolating nature of the machines means that very specific muscle tissue is targeted. We are way better off hitting a squat, a multi-joint compound exercise over a leg extension machine. The increased muscular engagement makes the squat more efficient and has a bigger impact on body composition overall. When your goal is fat loss, this should be your main focus.

There are 4 different populations who benefit from machines: deconditioned adults (lower impact), elderly (same reason), injured (can still train the upper body if the lower is injured and vice versa), and body builders (they have to build very specific muscle tissue for the stage.) The average person? Not so much.

1. Quer construir um glúteo bonito com volume e durinho, comece a se empenhar mais nesses 3 exercícios: Agachamento livre, Leg press 45 e Afundo. Exercícios esses que acionam mais fibras musculares (se realizados decentemente) do glúteo do que exercícios feitos com caneleira! .
2. Exercícios abdominais não queimam gorduras localizado do abdômen. O que fará você ter a barriga chapada, durinha e com os gominhos a vista é o conjunto de exercícios localizados para região + dieta com foco na redução do % de gordura!

3. Para mulheres: Faça exercícios de membros superiores. A aparência "marombada" depende de muitos fatores e em geral é difícil de ser alcançado. E do mais, exercícios para MMSS te deixará mais bonita esteticamente e ajuda na postura! .
4. Não adianta você se esforçar todos os dias na academia se sua alimentação estiver desregulada. Você queima 500kcal no treino porém come 1000kcal na primeira refeição assim que sair da academia, você realmente acha que irá conseguir emagrecer ( se for esse o objetivo ) ? Lembre-se dessa frase: Você é aquilo que você come. Então procure ler e pesquisar mais sobre o assunto e se for o caso procure um nutricionista para lhe auxiliar!

Já está mais do que superado essa ideia de que séries de 15/20 repetições é para definição e série de 8/10 repetições para ganho de massa magra, porém mesmo assim vejo muitas pessoas falando essa babozeira. Gente, músculo não sabe contar , não sabe se está na 10 ou 20 repetição, o músculo só entende uma coisas (FADIGA). Se você irá definir ou ganhar mais músculo depende do planejamento do treino e sua dieta, só! .

Set some goals, and know your weaknesses. My weakness right now is that I’m in the middle of a finals weeks and I generally wait until the last minute on Sunday when everything is due to actually do it. So, I’ve programmed an extra early hour into my day to focus on some of those tasks and help lighten the load when my final exam opens up on Friday night. I hate getting up at 5, but it is necessary at this point. No one can do that for me. Draw your line in the sand…today…there is no need to wait. ⠀⠀
