my old step goal used to be 20,000 before i found out i was pregnant. when i was placed on limited exercise by my doctors, it severely limited how much i was able to do, & that was probably the most frustrating thing in the world. i got lazy, & i didn’t feel like working out if it meant “just” going for a walk. so as embarrassing as this is to admit, i probably only averaged about 5,000 steps per day. yikes. i’ve posted before about how much i associate my physical fitness with my sobriety - they go hand-in-hand to making me feel like i’m being “healthy.” & if i can’t workout how i want to, i don’t really feel like i’m being healthy.
about two weeks ago, i was cleared to start running again. but, of course, after two months of not running, i’m completely out of shape! so we start slow. baby steps, if you will (cheesy pun intended 🤦🏻♀️😌). 12,500 steps is the new goal. hoping to work back up & get to 18,000 by the middle of march...wish me luck. 🧭anyone else use a step counter/smart watch to track their activity levels &/or workouts? drop your favorite fitness app in the comments?🧭 - 6 minutes ago
