The best surprise wedding to date. When Karen and Ken reached out to plan their wedding their 1st priority was that nobody found out about it. Yep, it was going to be a surprise. Captiva and Sanibel Islands have a tight knit community; if 1 person found out – everyone would. Not only that, but the wedding was going to be at their home which was under a 100% renovation and not slated to be ready until maybe 2 weeks before the wedding! That meant I had a construction site and blueprints to design with, no names to give vendors and creative partners and about 4 months to pull it off. But, if you know me, I want to make the impossible -- possible. .
Karen said one of her favorite parts of the day was seeing her soon to be husband's expression when he saw her for the first time and I couldn't agree more.
We all loved watching the surprise in the new guest's faces when they stepped out of their cars, saw the 'just married sign' and realized the housewarming party was actually a wedding reception.
Karen and Ken were the sweetest most fun couple who were and are the biggest joy to be around and that was evident even more so when I saw them celebrating with their family and friends.
