One of my biggest chain of events this year in 2019 is my aniexty. I don't have an extreme case, they are mild but still I have them. I have felt like I was in a confined room which I wasn't but like I couldn't breathe, to waking up with extreme heart palpitations for no reason to feel from getting the shakes and sweaty hands all for no reason! After finding out how I can control these random episodes, I breathe and breathe and breathe. I talk myself out of the feeling to the point I need to shut off for a little while to bring me back. I have found when I can't control what I want to control it gets me to this point. No I'm not going to die although sometimes it feels like it. I have learnt to live with it and manage those events when they happen. I had one today but I managed it so well that the effects didn't last as long as other times. I am good and I know that there are a lot of things in life I can't control and I'm ok with that now! #fk#u#anxiety

Symptoms of anxiety and depression can be overwhelming and some days may be easier than others to handle. One of the more hurtful things we can do is feel bad when we fail to overcome these feelings. It happens! It’s time to cut yourself some slack! 
Think of it like a physical symptom- when we feel sick, the best thing to do is rest and self care. If your mental symptoms are too much, do the same! Take a mental health day and get refreshed. There is nothing to be ashamed about. Take care of yourself and know that overtime it will get better. 
When you take time for yourself, you are not failing- you are healing. ❤️ .

FESTIVE ANXIETY🎄🎅🏼 .

A lot of people get very anxious around Christmas time. All the big meals, lots of family around all the time, very little time to yourself, a lack of routine, a lack of control. .
.
Take a second to remind yourself that you have absolutely got control. You can choose what you eat or drink, you can make the decision to keep moving and you can say no to parties or events that you feel might be too much for you. .
.
Whether you want to keep up with your exercise routine or not is completely fine but there are so many ways to keep moving over the festive period ... .
.
🍃 Go for a walk everyday. Whether it’s walking the dog in the park, or walking to the supermarket to get the groceries rather than drive it is so good to get out the house and get some fresh air (and a bit of peace and quiet) .
⚽️ Take the kids to the park and help them burn some energy off with a football or a game of tag! .
.
🏋🏼‍♀️ Gyms are open most of the christmas holidays so don’t feel embarrassed if you want to continue going to your regular classes. Your family will understand if you need to take an hour off here and there. .
.
However you want to spend your holiday is fine with us, but don’t beat yourself up about it. Before you know it, January will be here and we’ll be back in our normal routine again. Do what you need to to enjoy yourself and make some wonderful Christmas memories while you’re at it 🎄♥️ .

Wasn't feeling massively well last night (end of year tiredness?) So we made chicken and spinach seasoned with mixed herbs in a gravy. We also had some new potatoes which were seasoned with mixed herbs, butter and salt. My easy safe meal!

I’m never overly pleased when the 6am alarm goes off on a Monday I tell ya. I know though that getting up and putting in some work will set me up for the rest of the day

A lot of my battles are purely against myself. And at 8.30am I’ve already won one. So it really helps my mindset throughout the day

I try and live my life in day by day compartments. Which really helps my mental health. I do my best to put yesterday to bed, and all I’ve got to worry about is how I make use of my time throughout today only

Working out with @annabellehazell this morning was epic. The endorphins were pretty awesome too. Whether you see Monday as fresh start, or just another day in the life, go out and get out of your comfort zone. It’s worth it x -
