Meltdowns are horrible. 💔

They are; soul, life, mentally, physically & home-possession DESTROYING. 👹👹👹👹👹

Meltdowns are different for everyone & it’s subjective as to what a *bad* one is but whatever way you look at it: they’re fucking nasty.
.
My meltdowns can be triggered by something so minor, however there is always something massively deeper behind it.
.
My meltdowns have included; self harm, smoking, drinking, drug use, promiscuity, breaking furniture, breaking my own bones by punching and/or kicking things, police, paramedics, harming another person (my ex), disciplinary action at work, impulsivity, spending all my money & going missing (like, I’d literally just get up & walk out the house with nothing on me & my ex never knew where I’d gone & have to drive around for me. Granted the longest I’d been gone was a few hours but still). .
I mean, these haven’t all happened at the same time (some obviously have) & some may have even been a one off but each time I genuinely thought my life was over.

Not that I felt threatened or I wanted to kill myself but more that my whole world was crashing down around me.
.
I want to be left alone but also be held, I want to scream but also hide, I want to run away but scared to walk. It’s always confusing & conflicting & I guess I just end up exploding like a bomb 💣 .
I’m working on healing so I’m not this destructive human anymore. I’m trying to figure out a plan for when I’m about to have a meltdown.
It’s a working progress.

the yummiest lunch ever today !!! i made this recipe up on the spot and honestly i'm impressed with myself. i fried off some paprika, garlic 🧄 granules, and too much cumin bc its my fave spice lols. then i tipped in some cooked brown rice and a lil bit of canned chopped tomatoes 🍅. then i added a yummy amount of butter beans, peas, and two chopped up veggie sausages. its dreamy and i feel like it's good for ppl struggling with an ED bc u can shove in anything and not have to weight it out. yummy 🧚🏻🍄🌈🍀💘

💔 This week has struck so many emotional chords.... I talk a lot about anxiety, panic disorder, post partum depression, pre eclampsia, medical trauma... mental health issues that I’ve experienced myself, to name a few. 
I also talk about Autism, sensory processing disorder, stimming, feeding disorders and SO MUCH MORE when it comes to my 4 year old daughter Kinley. Many of you know she was diagnosed with moderate-severe level 3 autism at the age of 18 months. She is still considered non-verbal to this day. .
With that being said, I’ve been asked to share how I feel about the news that broke this week regarding an internet celebrity “re-homing” her 4 yearold #autistic son. (By the way - I hate that terminology. That’s a word used for animals. Stop using that word.)

First off let me be clear, I cannot pretend to know what went on in that house behind closed doors. What you see on someone’s Instagram, is exactly that. An instant snapshot of that moment. It doesn’t dive deep into daily battles and heartbreak and meltdowns.

What I CAN tell you, is this; as an autism mom myself, It’s hard. There’s no manual. There’s no ‘right therapies,’ every doctor has a different opinion about treatment and what works for one child doesn’t work for the next. Meltdowns happen consistently (not constantly).... and I’ve had days where I’ve been scratched, hit, bruised and defeated more times than I can count.

But what I’ve been through, what’s been difficult for me.... it’s just a grain of sand on Kinley’s #autismjourney - because she is a FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD. Autism is day by day, moment to moment and the changes are coming rapidly. (Continued in comments)

Vilken skitdag. Började med att jag försovde mig. Väl på arbetsträningen fick jag så mycket ångest vid toabesöket att jag var tvungen fara hem och tvätta arbetskläderna. Är helt slut nu. Fuck OCD!

What a crappy day! It started with  that I overslept. A work practice I got so much anxiety during the bathroom visit that I felt I had to go home and wash my clothes. I'm exhausted now. Fuck OCD!

I’ve been nominated by @telboyabudhabi to a 25 press-ups for 25 days challenge to raise awareness for mental health issues, e.g. PTSD, anxiety & depression; that drive people to commit suicide. 
Let’s raise awareness & ask each other RUOK? I’ve also donated to https://www.ruok.org.au/donate. 
Today I’m asking that @will_m_74  takes up the challenge. 
The rules are simple:
*Once you are nominated your 25 days starts the following day.
*Everyday you record yourself doing 25 push-ups even if you have to drop to your knees to get 25
* Don’t want to do the press ups? Then help the mental health support organisation in your area, minimum $200 donation (equivalent in your currency).
*Every day you must nominate a different person.

Let's make sure that everyone knows how important mental health & well being are; and if you need to reach out know you are not alone and we are here for you. Now more than ever.

How is your year going so far? I realise we've been thrown a huge curve ball this year, but have you stuck to any of your new year's resolutions? Do you even remember what they were? 👉 Do memes like this help, make you think "yeah!" and force forwards?
👉 Or, do you read them and feel so incredibly far removed from yourself that you just have no idea how to do these things? ❤️If you hold anger and resentment about things that have happened in your life, you can't just wake up one day and say "I'm going to love myself unconditionally" 🧡If you are unable to share emotions because you're worried how others will react, or because holding on to them gives you control you can just say "I'm going to release all emotions" 💛If you're unable to give yourself five minutes for a hot cup of tea because you're so wrapped in guilt that you can't do this and be a good mum or have the "busy" culture so far entrenched in you that you think you'll spontaneously combust if you stop.... You can't just take yourself out alone for a long walk. 💚If you use money, clothes, shoes, expensive holidays etc as a way of numbing some other pain, or avoiding the issues going on around you, you cannot just wake one morning to say you'll stop. 💙If you can't look at yourself in the mirror, smile and say "I love you" how can you nurture anything else within you? 💜If you have so many negative triggers surrounding yourself that your internal dialogue says "no one will love me unless I'm more funny, happy, bitchy, thin, busy, drunk *insert own* because I'm fat, stupid, lazy, a crap mum" etc... You can't stop apologising for being you because no one ever seen the real you! 🖤If the very people surrounding you make you feel and act in any of the above ways... How do you suddenly only surround yourself with positive people?

I had this very quandary for years, and it doesn't feel good, does it? Because you see quotes like this and think "yeah, but how?" And the only thing they actually achieve is to make you feel even worse than you did before you read it because they're further "proof" that you're not as worthy or valuable as everyone else.

Lunch is vegan 'sausage' roll, avocado, tomatoes and BBQ sauce. 
Ready to be active but need to wait a bit to an update as I don't have the energy. I've got temporomandibular joint dysfunction TMJ which means I need to restrict my diet even tho it's triggering for my disorder eating. The vegan roll is luckily soft enough as long as I chop it up as though I'm a child. Although I can eat certain solid and crunchy foods I will be doing everything I can to eat without restricting further. Here's to TMJ recovery and battling my Ed from returning!!
