Well I have multiple times 🤕 so i made sure to never let it happen again, now i want to help other athletes who struggle with constant cramp problems..⁠

A muscle cramp is an involuntary contraction of one of your muscles. Muscle cramps can be occur due to the following:⁠

💣 Overuse of a muscle⁠
⁠
💣 Dehydration⁠
⁠
💣 Holding a position for too long (inadequate blood supply)⁠
⁠
💣 Mineral depletion - Magnesium, Potassium and Sodium⁠
⁠
💣 Compression of the muscle ⁠
⁠
The best way to prevent/recover from muscle cramps is to ensure you avoid the above risk factors by:⁠

💣 Eating your magnesium. My favourite source is avocado but If I am in a rush, i will just have a banana!⁠

💣 Eating your potassium sources. An orange is the first thing I eat every morning, it is quick, easy and delicious!⁠

💣Consuming sodium: The sources in the pictures are very good. Otherwise you can add Himalayan rock salt to your meals!⁠

Me and @jodiestimpson caught pre-race - it may look like a serious conversation but we’re actually talking about our nails 💅🏼and other random stuff! I love having athletes on the start line that are like me that want to have a laugh and wish each other well. I don’t see my competition as the enemy. Of course we all want to beat each-other during the race but there’s a level of respect and like we’re in this together so let’s all enjoy this thing ... and actually like eachother!
