Ahhh... #refeedday on my #snakejuicediet has happened, and the fasting clock is back on for 24 hours. I’ll have #ketoomad tomorrow, and then my intention is to commence #rolling72s for the month of June.
My fasting buddy shall remain anonymous, but I’ll send her this post. 💪🔥😍 I’ve had a huge revelation since starting this #fastingfocusedlifestyle two weeks ago... As you know, I battle binge eating (by the way, today marks 22 days #bingefree so yay to that), and many people will find extended fasting triggers binge eating behaviour, so I did have ponderings about that when I decided to embark on a fasting protocol.
But... I’ve had these feelings about how this approach is already - surprisingly - making me feel a sense of food FREEDOM!
When you are implementing a protocol - in other words rules or structure - you have a PLAN and set your mind to stick to it. It also means a lot of your eating of centred around one meal a day, or one meal every couple/few days. It opens the doors to feel a bit more freedom with the content on your one plate, as opposed to day after day losing control.
Self discipline has always been my theme for my success, and this current path I’m traveling down is no different. It’s about a structure set in place for success, driven by discipline and self love.
Today’s example of major food freedom was having not one, but two foods I have otherwise tried hard to simply not have:
1. 90 second bread
2. Boursin cheese
I enjoyed a generous, approximately 1000 calorie refeed meal after fasting since 3pm Monday, basically 120 hours ago. I did not break the fast an hour early out of hunger, but because the food was ready to be prepared.
I had bacon, sautéed with coleslaw mix, 1/2 cup of leftover ground meat, 2 eggs, the toast and cheese, and it truly hit the spot. Happy, satisfied, keto belly right here.
I feel fuelled and ready to wait for 24 hours until the next meal. Who knows, maybe I’ll have the same thing, maybe not.
