I get asked what my "diet" is a lot .... I don't really have a diet, I don't follow any food rules other than how food makes me feel.
Rewind a few years ago and I would of told you my "diet" consisted of fasting for 2 days a week and I calorie counted everything right down to a slice of tomato. (True story) aaaaand I wasn't losing weight, I wasn't exercising at all, I was fatigued, slept a lot, was on migraine medication and drank a looooot of coffee, energy drinks and coke zero to "function". My lifestyle on the other hand is pretty flexible, I have been meat free (other than fish on my Birthday) since I did 75 Hard back in May. I liked the way being meat free made me feel so I continued it. I totally get its not for everyone but it works for me.
That is what this nutrition gig is all about for everyone, finding what works for you and your body.
