Trying my hand at #powercleans  Never felt comfortable with them. Always feels like too much arm input and not enough thigh contact on the way up.  Gotta try to keep at it though.  Not easy for a solo basement dweller. .

Building a base for technique and understanding the movements, while gradually progressing in weights and getting stronger all over. You know, that progressive overload thing again. 
Here she is touching 40k on deadlifts for the first time, for this easy 1x5.

Trying to get her to use more quads/leg drive at the start of the lift while keeping the bar close. She did a pretty good job at this set.

MUSCLES HIT- mainly your
shoulders as well as your abs, glutes, hip flexers •Hold a barbell with an overhand grip in a standing position. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart. Maintain a tight core and flat lower back throughout.

Bring the barbell to shoulder height with your palms facing out. Begin by pushing the barbell straight overhead. Focus on contracting the shoulders while driving the glutes forward for stability.

Once you reach the top, slowly bring the barbell to the starting position but do not allow it to rest on your shoulders. Immediately, move into the next repetition.

Haven’t posted in over 2 weeks but I’d like to happily confess that I went to the gym 🏋️ 5x both weeks. Also made it a habit to walk my dog 🐶 every night after the gym for 30min -1h (depending on how cold it is lol) .
Will post my workouts again staring tomorrow.
