What I really love is advocating for people from distressed areas. I grew up in a small-mid sized college town, and attended one of "those" schools. I grew up in an area that made people look at me funny when describing where I was from. I know what it's like to see trauma everyday, and not know how to deal with it. Helping these folks is something my heart is in, and something that we will do to expose those to counseling techniques and skills to live a more balanced life, right where they are.
We are not a large operation, YET. I'm an LPC-A that focuses on helping average people become great. I also (with a small team) do consulting work for state governments and private businesses, and create processes within mental health organizations to make sure that those within the system get superb care. But TT, this is my new baby, and something I'm really excited about.
The goal has always been to move therapy to where it's great for everyone. Easier, more realistic, more accessible, more tailored, more effective. TT aims to be in your barbershops, local bars, salons, in courtrooms, on HBCU campuses, in kids' schools, etc. Wherever there is a need, we'll be looking to fill that need, and will be looking for sponsors and people who believe in it to assist as well. More to come, but this is just a small snapshot for now. Have a GREAT week.
