🔤#homeschool has been so fun! 🧮 Granted I have a preschooler and kindergartner, so it's not like we're working on the quadratic equation over here, but we've been having so much fun finding fun new ways to learn.
One of the best tools have been typing and flash cards. Back when I was in school, we learned minimal computer skills. Now, it is essential that at a young age, they learn how to use technology. This week we have been focusing on simple computer skills like what the Ctrl button does or why we use the tab button.
My preschooler loves to pick 8 flash cards and we learn sounds, letter names and how to trace them. No printing necessary. (Did I mention I'm out of printer ink?! 🤪🤦🏼♀️)
Keep posting all of your learning techniques and activities. We have two more months of home school now that schools are not going back into session at all. Every child learns differently, so this has been a great chance for our kids to show us how they learn best.
My son learns best with movement. He is a kinesthetic learner. He learns by doing. My daughter learns by teaching. She loves to walk me through her processes and tell me exactly how she got her answers.
This opportunity has been so beneficial to understand their needs a little better and how to help them not just with homework, but with everything they do.
How is your homeschooling going? Are you having fun or are you stressed? Best of luck to all of you homeschooling mamas out there! Share your ideas with us.
