Heute steht Beintraining an🍑. Eigentlich wollte ich Rücken trainieren, aber habe mir irgendwie den Nacken verdreht. Auf jedenfall wäre das vermutlich heute kontraproduktiv😅 Vorher mache ich noch einen Lernspaziergang 🚶🏼‍♀️📝 In 1,5 Wochen schreibe ich meine allerletze Klausur und kann es kaum noch abwarten 🙏 Die Bewegung hilft mir aber extrem bei der Konzentration. Zu Hause bin ich total unproduktiv und prokrastiniere nur.. wer kennts?🙈Habt ihr ein aktives Wochenende geplant oder eher entspannt?

~ There are days where I don’t feel like I’m making progress with hypertrophy. I feel like all my hard work is pointless because I’m not seeing the results I want to see as fast as I want to see them. I’m sure we’ve all felt that as some point. But here’s the thing.

~On those days where I don’t want to show up I’ve learned to push myself harder because I have witnessed my discipline and character grow through this act of persistence.
•
~ If you’re struggling with 1) studying on days you don’t want to study 2) being a good employee when you feel lazy 3) being a good significant other when you don’t think the other person deserves it or 4) struggling with motivation to exercise because you aren’t seeing results quickly enough-  I dare you to push yourself harder in those moments because I can guarantee that you will see a transformation✨.

Vilken bra dag! Storstädat lägenheten, tvättat och bytt sängkläder, varit på promenad i solen och busat massor med Ester och Iris. Vi var ute i två timmar och gick en mil, så himla mysigt 😍 Och dessutom gick dagens pass för 🍑 bättre än nånsin!

Now that I am back down in the 150s, it’s time to start training!! I mean REALLY training. Going back to what I know best and what makes me feel the best. Still body building, but I’ve always been a runner.. although looking at my body type you wouldn’t think I am. It’s definitely gotten harder to run since body building took over 7 years ago. However, I started running spartan races about two years ago and I absolutely love them.  Absolutely the hardest thing I’ve ever done... 16 miles in the West VA mountains with multiple obstacles was no joke. I didn’t train for them.. I just ran them for fun but ended up placing in all three I ran 🤷🏼‍♀️. I qualified for the elite heats... so I got to thinking, imagine how good I would be if I actually trained for these races.... body building/powerlifting/lifting is something I will never give up. It’s what I love the most. And I worked so hard to gain weight and muscle in my butt and legs  that I’m always afraid it’ll shrink to the size of popped air ballon when I start running a lot and doing more endurance type workouts.  But I’m figuring out that sometimes, you have to switch it up and find a different kind of fitness to be a part of.  After all, I was an athlete my entire life.  I still am.  A well rounded athlete needs to work on every aspect of fitness, not just their aesthetic looks. I’ll be the first to admit, these past two years have been slack-a-delic... slack city.... and as I continue to work my way back into the sport I love (body building/powerlifting), I also want to get out of my comfort zone and work on other aspects of fitness. So with that being said, I am getting out of my damn mind, saying screw the “perfect” physique, and just going with the flow. The goal is to become as fit and as healthy as I can become, without the expectations of body image. That’s what fitness should be about anyways. Health, well being, and confidence. Now will I be upset if I enhance my physique anyways? Uhhh.. hell no!! But that’s no longer my main focus, as it shouldn’t have been this entire time.  My advice: have a goal in mind, put in the work, and just roll with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

First heavy leg day in Novi Sad 🇷🇸💪 Earlier today I did my cardio routine, to clear my mind, plan my day and enjoy fresh air while city still sleeps 🏙

My workout was great, I had good focus and hit #deadlifts again 135kg and sumo squat 80kg, and 5 more exercises.

Been back on the lifting grind for about a month now and feel healthier than ever. Back to body building workouts with a powerlifting twist 🔨
On a side note, if you haven’t checked out this gym, you ought to. It’s such a friendly, inviting, and motivating environment. It reminds me of an old school gym and it’s perfect to get in a kick ass work out! Absolutely love this environment.

This year is about to be different. I haven’t competed since 2017. And my goal back then was just to experience the process and the stage. But I fell in love. So here we are again, ready to do the damn thing 😜⁣

Why did I wait so long?⁣
⁣
1️⃣ I’m not someone who just wanted to rush to get back on stage and not have improved. I still have a lot to growing to do but I’m also at a much better starting point, physically and nutrition wise.⁣
⁣
2️⃣ School and my career came first. Over the past two years I’ve graduated with my B.S., completed my Dietetic Internship, earned my M.S., and literally got my dream job creating a sports nutrition department at the college level. ⁣
⁣
3️⃣ I’ve had relationships and friendships that I wanted and needed to focus on. It’s often hard to understand the sport of bodybuilding and I want the people who surround me to be supportive and know how much they mean to me. ⁣
⁣
4️⃣ This shit is expensive people. You gotta be able to financially commit. ⁣
⁣
5️⃣ Timing is everything. I knew when I would be 110% ready again and when it would be right. ⁣
⁣
So the journey begins!
