I wanted to share a more personal side of me in this caption today. With everything that’s been going on, I’ve been keeping myself busy during this time with things like ACT studying, reading, working out, watching Netflix, rollerblading and cooking.
I’m able to spend a lot more time with my family so that’s a silver lining to this incredibly sad and terrible situation. But, as I’m sure everyone is experiencing, the weight of all that’s going on in the world gets to me. So, I wanted to share something that has really been helping to keep me positive...
It’s Gratitude Journaling!! I write some things (as many as you feel like, it could be 1, it could be 100) in my journal at night before I go to bed. I focus on writing little things in my day that I’m grateful for so that things don’t get repetitive. I write about things I did, moments I shared with my dog, family, anything! -
Not only does this allow me to reflect on my day and the experiences I had in it that allow me to think “Aw, today was a good day” but gratitude journaling has programmed me to realize those little things that I’m grateful for when they are actually happening, which has had a huge positive impact on my days as I live them out! - 9 hours ago
