Ustensiles 🍴
» une poêle
» un saladier
» un fouet

Pour 3 galettes il vous faudra :

La pâte :
- 30g de farine de riz blanche
- 15g de farine de coco @nu3
- 5g de levure
- 1 œuf entier + 1 blanc ou (2 œufs)
- 80ml lait de coco
- Liquid flav coconut @bulkpowders

La sauce choco :
- 10g chocolat en poudre Van Houten
- 10g miel local liquide
- 2 c.à.s d’eau

Étapes :
• Dans un saladier, mettez tous les ingrédients
• Mélangez au fouet
• Préparez votre sauce chocolat
• Pour ça, assemblez le chocolat en poudre et le miel
• Commencez par ajouter une cuillère à soupe d’eau et mélangez 3 bonnes minutes pour délayer le chocolat
⚠️ + il y aura de l’eau + vous aurez une sauce liquide
• Une fois la sauce prête, faites cuire votre première galette
• Retournez la
• Sur la partie cuite, tartinez de sauce au chocolat
• Repliez votre galette en deux
• Répétez l’opération

I really spent 4hrs trying to edit some workout videos but honestly I just can’t. My mind & my heart are elsewhere.. We need to do better, we need to be LOUDER, we need to SHOW UP for those that need us, we need to LISTEN and we need to stop being so IGNORANT! Please do the right thing.. Enough of silence & “its not my business”. Its everyone’s business and we can’t let it keep on happening!! Also for those that are living under a rock thinking things are blown out of proportion please watch documentary “13th” on Netflix, and series of “Kalief Browder story”. It’s harsh & it’s heartbreaking but you need to open your eyes.

When it comes to tracking our finances and the money we spend daily that isnt seen as being obsessive but smart and aware of were our money goes.⁣

However, when it comes to calorie tracking it is as obsessive and is almost frowned upon by many.⁣

Try and keep an open mind and realise that they are both very much the same.⁣

“So you’re vegan... where do you get your protein from?”

Sis we get it from donuts! 🍩 💪🏽 .

These protein sugar-free donuts are a healthy way to hit those 3pm cravings. They can equally be adapted and made sugary or chocolatey for a dessert if that’s your thing too. 🤤 .
.
🍓For the jam,  boil some frozen berries, a splash of water and chia seeds in a pot for about 5 minutes until the berries are soft and the chia seeds expand. Add some Agave for taste. .
.
🍩 For the dough, mix 120g of flour, 60g of vegan vanilla protein powder. (We used plain vegan protein and added @bulkpowders vanilla drops to taste). Mix in a dash of lemon juice, 50g of vegan unsweetened yoghurt (we used @alpro unsweetened soy), 2tbsp of water, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and a dash of salt. Mix well. .

🍩 Roll the dough into 18 small balls. Flatten them and put 1/2 a tsp of the berry jam in the middle of each flattened ball. Fold the jam inside the ball and roll with your hands Put the doughnuts in the oven for about 20 mins. .
.
🥜 We used @meridianfoods peanut butter and the leftover jam to dip the donuts in. You could also melt dark chocolate for dipping. To make them more nawty you could roll them in brown sugar and cinnamon pre-baking 🤤.

Eat less (duh): The only way to lose weight is through sustaining a calorie deficit (Guyenet 2012) and while this can be achieved by reduced energy intake, increased energy expenditure, or a combination of both, the easiest way is to simply just  EAT LESS.

Lift weights: Lifting weights has the impressive ability to augment the preservation of muscle when in a kcal deficit (Bryner 1999, Donnelly 1993) along with slightly increasing metabolic rate which can be of added benefit when on a diet (Aristizabal et al 2015). It also helps burn calories both during & after thus increasing total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) & making it easier to create a calorie deficit. Though cardio is not necessary to lose fat, it can burn sig. more kcals/hr than weights (Lee 2014) thus potentially an option deeper into a diet to create a calorie deficit when dropping calories further isn’t an option.

Now the main priorities are over let’s get to the supplements as these will likely have far less of an influence on total fat loss than energy in/out

Caffeine: Caffeine has shown to have acute effects on decreasing kcal intake (Astrup 1990). Also, it has shown to increase alertness/energy (Lieberman 2002) thus potentially resulting in you moving/burning more throughout the day via non exercise activity thermogensisis (NEAT) and ACTUAL physical activity which are by far two of the components of TDEE which have the greatest impact, sometimes contributing up to 50% (Aragon 2017)

Protein: Protein is the most satiating & thermogenic macronutrient thus drinks/foods high in protein can help keep you full, decrease appetite & burn more via digestion (Pesta  Samuel 2014, CrovettI et al 1998, Weigle et al 2005). Furthermore, when on a deficit, higher protein intakes are beneficial for preserving LBM (Mero et al 2010) thus another benefit however if you can already get enough (1.6-3g/kg) (Philips 2012, Helms 2014) protein in your diet from WHOLE food sources, further supplementation has shown NOT to be NEEDED (Herda 2013, Morton 2017)

The new additions to Foraylafitness. VERY excited to add these bits and feel very fortunate for me and my clients to be able to obtain them 😊

I didn't even own a dumbell at the start of lock down. Not one.. It got me thinking just how important taking action really is. Sometimes without much thought.. If i hadn't got SOME equipment and acted quickly when an opportunity became available. If i hadn't trusted my gut that my livelihood was at serious risk along with my mental and physical helath. If id allowed fear and doubt to creep in (understandably with the current situation we are all in) to govern my decisons. I'd have a huge part of my life missing right now.

My point is- no matter what it is. Sometimes just making a decision and doing SOMETHING is better than sitting around over thinking and being ruled by fear and eventually doing NOTHING. Watching opportunities go by and three months down the line wondering why you just didn't buy that dumbell set then.. Or your 10 kilos heavier and wondering why you didn't just start 3 months before when you had the initial drive to make a change.

Moral of the story. My head, and im sure yours will always try to fuck you. Sometimes we need to listen but sometimes we just need to cast out doubt and DO.
