. 🎊I have been oozing with optimism with the choices I have made of late n hopeful that the future is bright for all of us ☀ 🔆
🎊So, this is another breakfast/brunch recipe, tweaked slightly to my liking. This is the not-so-traditional upma.
🎊UPMA: this is a semolina aka rava based dish, with the veggies of your choice. I have used capsicum, onion, carrot 🥕, sweet corn 🌽, chillies🌶️. For the tempering, I have used sesame seeds, cumin seeds, pinch of asafoetida, garlic, and curry leaves and ofcourse salt to taste in 1tbs of ghee.
🎊Add the chopped veggies to the tempering mix and shallow fry till the veggies cook. Add about 200gms of rava and dry roast for 3-5mins. After that, start adding lukewarm water 💦 to the dry roast mix to a semi-dry consistency. The rava mix absorbs lot of water.. So pls keep a check on the desired consistency.
🎊ON THE SIDE: Peanut 🥜 chutney - Dry roast the peanut n blend with chilli 🌶 (I added 4 🔥), garlic (5 pods) and salt to taste into a smooth sauce.*I like it really spicy 😜*
PEANUT CHUTNEY - 1tbs is 43 approx.
🎊OVERALL - 👍rava is rich in proteins, vitamin B and iron.
👍Peanut is again a source protein, healthy fats and fibre.
👍 Generous portions of your veggies
👎 Too much of peanut chutney can be fattening as its calorie dense in large quantities
👎Needs prior prep
