Body transformation isn’t about a number on the scale
.
It isn’t about how much weight you can handle in the gym
.
It isn’t being worried about what other people will think about how you look
.
True transformation of your body is a transformation of your mind
.
And after a lifetime of constantly thinking about the number on the scale, how I thought I was supposed to look, and having a really poor mindset about my own relationship with myself
.
Over the last year I have finally built a body and more importantly a mindset that I love
.
And I’m only getting started
.
I track my weight on the scale once a week as I am in a bulking, cutting phase to build muscle and definition
.
I am working towards lifting heavier because it makes me feel good
.
And when people comment on how much my body has change I am proud because I have worked really hard
.
But is isn’t as important as how proud I am of the journey I have been on and the mental and physical commitment I have had to make
.
And on days like when I took this picture, I walk past the mirror and see my body and booty 😉 starting to take serious shape and watching my hard work pay off
.
I realize how incredible it is to have visual results of a process that has been long and hard
.
But even more worth it to know that if the world could see me on the inside they would see how much more my heart and soul have taken shape and found beautiful and powerful change
.
This is only after phase one of a bulk and cut
.
Can’t wait to continue in my journey of building and shaping my body and mind
.
It’s a beautiful day to be alive
.

For those of you who have asked about my cut and what I eat, I am currently at 1900 calories until I hit my goal weight for my cut, then I will be reverse dieting back to my maintenance calories and then back into a bulk where I will put on weight and more muscle again

Friday fare using up the cauliflower and avocado. The fam was enjoying spaghetti while I was making these #keto high protein cauliflower pancakes and sandwiching them with smashed avocado, real bacon bits and red onion. The first cake fell apart in the pan full of way too much bubbly avocado oil but the broken pieces and crumbs were delicious as they soaked up a good majority of the excess oil and paved the way for the other two which came out perfect. No food was wasted! 🏅 Took about 15 minutes. Here’s how I made them: raw cauliflower crumbled in food processor then microwaved to soften then used a kitchen towel to press out and soak up all the moisture. Mixed cauliflower with one egg, 1/4 c. almond flour, scoop of collagen, 1/2 to 3/4 tbs of nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, TJ’s onion (and garlic) salt, thyme, oregano mixed up really good. Heated avocado oil in cast iron then used scoop to drop the batter into pan, pressing it out gently with back of scoop to form the pancake. Carrrrrrrefully flip when golden brown. The first one is often the lesson, but makes for good appetizer while finishing up everything else. ;-) Love healthy fats! 💥 Taking pictures and video of your body is a great way to track progress or lack thereof. It also doubles as a way to keep your accountable. I step on the scale every 2 weeks or so but it is NOT the best way to gauge progress. How you look in your pictures, how you feel in clothes, how you feel mentally and your body measurements are all great ways to track your progress. If things are off you can then make the adjustments needed ✌🏽

It's all about the angles right? Not sure why my head isn't back in the game but I'm trying. An hours spin and an hour free weights. 
I have that all or nothing mentality and it does me over, I get frustrated when I  can't keep going full throttle every damn day. I work a full time job so my ass is up early. The dream would be to dedicate myself to working out. 
I guess I'm not sure what effects the early menopause has had on me either but I won't give up that's for sure my ass is stubborn for that shiz.

This year the biggest attribute I have been working hard on is putting all my focus and energy into one thing at a time. In the past I have been spreading my attention between to many things at once and my focus has been broken. (Kind of like a puppy 😂)
That has all changed this year. More discipline was needed to achieve this. 
Since putting in more effort in this area I have seen a great increase in my productivity, which is exactly the direction I want to head!
