For over 4 years I took ibuprofen every single day. It makes me cringe to think about. I get back pain that can hinder my day significantly and for a while I couldn’t get by without something for the pain, so ibuprofen was a lifeline for me.

Your body needs some activity to keep your joints mobile, muscles loose, immune system up and mental health in check. 🌞When the news is all doom and gloom it’s hard for even the most optimistic among us to stay positive. It’s true that we need to take this virus seriously. However, it’s easy to stay focused on our fear and negative thoughts.

🌻Though it’s important to to remain informed, you can avoid hearing about every unpleasant detail from dawn until bedtime. Instead, focus on the positives so that you have the energy and resolve needed to build the mindset and gather the tools you need for this next chapter.
.
🌞Some helpful tools to keep your mind at peace;
.
🌻Limit your news intake- Choose a single news source and decide how much limited time you’ll spend with it each day. Then stick to your plan.
.
🌞Look to the past- Get hope from your past resilience. If you can make it through everything the world has been through, you can make it through this.
.
🌻Distract yourself by doing something you love- Did you know that stopping people from ruminating on a recent stressful event – by offering a distraction – can lower their blood pressure back to normal levels quicker than offering no distraction. Read, paint, dance, write, listen to music, play music!
.
🌞Meditate- In times like these, many people might find meditation and mindfulness helpful. But others might not, sometimes this can invite further rumination. If you find meditation to be helpful, this is a good time to try building your daily practice.

🌻Reframe the situation- how we interpret our emotions is largely down to how they’re framed – in other words, the context. Stressful situations are often beyond our control, and we create anxiety and worry when we try to control what we can’t. Focusing on what can be controlled, on the other hand, can decrease feelings of anxiety.

🌞Be mindful of your emotions- It’s perfectly natural to have a more difficult time feeling happy in stressful times. It’s also perfectly okay to be enjoying every moment of freedom during this time. However you feel in this moment is perfectly okay and it can help to remind yourself when you are having mixed emotions.

🌻Focus on the small things- It’s okay to be doing nothing, and it’s okay to do everything you haven’t been able to do.

🌞Five small things to cultivate hope in your life; 🌻Always have your why’s in mind- It is from our intentions that we create amazing things in life, and that’s where we find hope. If you feel lost in a circumstance, come back to why you started, and find a sense of peace.

🌞Cultivate curious optimism- The thing about hope is that even if we live from that space, sometimes things won’t go our way. Don’t get discouraged, but rather live from a place of curious optimism. We won’t ever know exactly how things will unfold but we can approach it all with an open-mind and open-heart.

🌻Hold on to the images of that which you wish to create and remember that we are incredibly creative beings- get in the practice of visualising your desired outcomes and remember that you are an active participant in this life.

🌞Avoid spending your energy worrying about all the things that could go wrong, rather than what you desire to happen- Once you’ve gone over all the worst case scenarios, take what you need from it, but don’t allow yourself to ruminate over it. 🔹Easy Week Night Dinner🔹
Curried chicken thighs in a tomato sauce. Sounds complicated but I promise, it’s not. Done in about 20 mins, good price point (for those of us trying to be bougie on a budget 💁🏼‍♀️) and most importantly, DELICIOUS. Check out the videos to see how it’s done. Easily paired with rice, cauliflower rice and a salad. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 TBP Curry Seasoning 
1 tsp sea salt (kosher salt is great too)
Chicken thighs (almost 1.5 lbs)
1 can diced tomatoes
Olive oil (1-2 tbsp)

💥It is way better and safer for someone with a high level of musculoskeletal pain to come see us in our quiet environment than go to their GP or to the emergency room and stress out their schedule more than it already is. ⁣

👍We are helping taking the load off the front line medical staff to deal with covid the best they can and they are doing amazing ! ⁣

❗️Some people that have called to book so far have already tried medication and home care and not getting much or any relief. Some are even on pretty intense medication 2 x day and it’s not helping. ⁣
