We will start with the good news, which is Daisy.
Daisy is very stable and still smack dab in the middle of stage B2. Her murmur was already a 6 so no change since you can’t go any higher than that. :P
She had to get bloodwork done since it had been a year. Could have that done at the regular vet but since she was right there we had it done. Which worked out because they got the results right away and everything looks great.
Because she was so stable I asked if she could go under anesthesia because I think her remaining 5 teeth are hurting her. She sometimes just swallows the food instead of chewing.
Dr. Mueller said yes, that the reason why it was a no before was because Daisy had just recently ruptured a chordea but she has now been stable for a solid year. It still is a risk though.
So now I have to decide if it’s worth the risk to get one more cleaning in or not. Plus, since I was under the impression that she wasn’t going to be able to ever have one again there is no budget for that. So that means either Penny or Tulip don’t get a dental this year. Georgia was due in January and we still haven’t been able to.
But SUPER over the moon to hear that she is still doing well.
You can see their bill in stories because I like to keep it real for those with cavaliers so you know what having a heart dog cost.
Daisy had an echo, blood pressure check, bloodwork and an exam so she was $738.00
