ON THIS DAY IN QUEEN HISTORY- 11th of December
1975- Queen played at City Hall in Newcastle. The support band was Mr. Big.
FAN STORY - This man had seen Queen on Top of the Pops he thinks it was their Seven Seas of Rhye performance after this him and his friends became serious fans. When the 1975 tour was announced they rushed to their travel agents who sold tickets and sorted a coach for them for £3.50. They had bought their tickets first so they had seats at the centre and in the 3rd row, the tickets were on sale a few weeks before Bohemian Rhapsody was released so everyone was jealous of them after!! He says it was a magnificent show and they were in awe that their idols had been playing right in front of them.
1977- Queen played at Summit in Houston, Texas
1979- Queen played at the Centre in Brighton - 11 minutes ago
This day in rock history - Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue was born. Everyone who likes rock music has heard of Motley Crue and their many hit songs. Personally I really remember Nikki Sixx from reading his book “The Heroin Diaries.” I thought it was a really impactful book and it really shows you a deeper perspective than just the rockstar up on stage. If you’re a reader and haven’t read it, check it out sometime. Anyway happy birthday to @nikkisixxpixx Keep rockin 🤘
