A festival to indulge in some mouth watering desserts is here.

How do we maintain calories this Diwali! 
Here are few point that might help you in balancing and save some calories:

1.  Prepare a dessert at home - eat home cooked or prepare your own sweet like how I made these Peanut butter cookies, So that you have an idea of whatโ€™s going inside your body and you can have a control on sugar and other stuff added to it.
2. Avoid eating fruits- Fruits are high in sucrose and fructose which rises our blood sugar level, So if you want to indulge in other sweets do not have fruits that day.

3.Choose healthy snacking - Choose roasted snacks over fried ones - Makhana, roasted beans, barley, Chickpea etc.
4. Dilute your drinks with water and avoid sugary juices and aerated drinks.

5.Do not miss your workouts- If you are working out and burning calories equal to your consumption, you are sorted for this Diwali. 
6. Last but not the least,Cleanse your diet by detoxing (eating clean) for 4 to 5 days post Diwali. To manage all the damage made during the festive season needs to be recovered like how you need to have bonus to recover your spending on this season.

1. You believe in dumb shit like Keto and Detox Diets- I am not saying that these diets which are developed by EXPERTS, they donโ€™t work. The problem is these diets are way too extreme and difficult for a new guy to pick up. The regime is way to HARRRDD to follow. In the end each and every type of diet makes you loose fat by decreasing your overall calorie intake or keeping you in a CALORIE DEFICIT. So why be so hard to yourself when you can loose weight WHILE EATING WHAT YOU LOVE?

2. You are not measuring your food/macro/calorie intake properly- This is one of the main cause of not getting results. We think that we are maintaining a calorie deficit while we are measuring everything wrong and incorrect. Use a weigh scale, measure it to you last gram. Use apps like @myfitnesspal @healthifyme to keep track of what and how much u eat.

3. You compare yourself to others- This is the main problem with us. We want to compare ourselves to others and while doing that we ignore the little progress that we made. Even if you lost 500g this week. It is a BIG ACHIEVEMENT. Stop comparing yourself to the guy who lost 3-4 KGs in the same time period. You never know, what is going on, maybe heโ€™s crash dieting or using drugs/roids. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY.

4. You are IMPATIENT- As I described earlier, even the smallest change matter. Believe in butterfly effect, if you donโ€™t. Most of us are impatient, we want to achieve in a second. Nobody became world champion in a Day. Have some PATIENCE.

So this post on public demand..! Where everyone loves binging over Pakodas and chai, Id like to suggest healthy options to have in monsoon with no regrets. 
Swipe to see the options: 
1. Masala corn- personal favourite to have in monsoon you can also have roasted one with lemon and chilli on top ๐Ÿ˜‹
2. Roasted makhana and peanut- Call it best chakna or anytime healthy snacks then binging over chips and pakodas. 
3. Pumpkin and drumstick soup- Extremely rich in protein, fibre and minerals. What can be warmer then this in monsoon.
4. Golden Chicken with broccoli- Pair your meat with best flavours add ghee, butter(essential fats) and stir fried greens. You can also go for exotic veggies sizzlers avoid fries served with it. 
5. Stir fry paneer - Simply easy to cook 100gms paneer with capsicum (as that was only available) ๐Ÿ™„ still keeping fibre(greens) and protein in my dinner.
6. Oats kheer- Coming to desserts, nothing better like this. You can also have ragira shira made in jaggery ๐Ÿ˜‹
This is most easiest and sugarless thing to have. Suggest to cook oats in warm milk.
7. Seasonal fruits- Its so important to make most of what nature has given us. Enjoy all seasonal fruits available in monsoon. ๐Ÿค˜

You are doing it wrong..! Most awaited time is here if on diet and resisting over all your favourite food and just jumping on weekend binge.
I completely believe in keeping diets flexible, having right choices on right time and also keeping track of your calorie in and calorie out. 
This week I had challenged myself to keep myself away from food I love the most - comfort food.
My personal favourite is icecream. I just cannot resist over it. I am big fan of desserts, chocolates and soo I decided to not keep any chocolate at home, removing all sugared and flavoured things from my kitchen instead having real food. Comforting myself with sweetness of fruits and veggies.

Best advice to resist over your favourite food is as follows:
Week 1 Remove it kitchen, donโ€™t even try to have smaller portions. 
Week 2: keep that thing in front of you and prove you are strong and can easily resist over it.
Week 3: Replace your cravings with healthy alternatives -instead of fried chips go for roasted makhanas/popcorn , insted of orea shake and protein shake๐Ÿ˜œ, instead of icecream have yogurts
Week 4: you have successfully resisted over 3 weeks now this is what you have to be consistent on. Keep following same ๐Ÿค˜

Weekends are here and how can you resist over binging ๐Ÿ˜‹

I cannot miss talking about this Chocolate Pancake ๐Ÿฅž 
It was heavenly experience trying this out, was there on my binging list since long. 
So talking about binging and how often to binge is totally on individuals choice and body goals. I believe in creating a diet which is more sustainable and gives you window of freedom to have what you like. 
This is where a nutrition expertise plays thier role in creating a diet which is sustainable and you donโ€™t over indulge. 
You donโ€™t need to control all days, all weeks on your favourite food. You can have something what you like onces in 2 days and still gain zero pounds, It wonโ€™t affect as rest of your meals should be balanced in proportion to your high calorie consumption of favourite dessert ๐Ÿง

Weekends are here and how can you resist over binging ๐Ÿ˜‹ I cannot miss talking about this Chocolate Pancake ๐Ÿฅž It was heavenly experience trying this out, was there on my binging list since long. So talking about binging and how often to binge is totally on individuals choice and body goals. I believe in creating a diet which is more sustainable and gives you window of freedom to have what you like. I binged over all of these and gained zero pounds ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Weekends are great time to indulge over your cheat meals. And its normal that you cannot resist on over eating. 
Swipe to see what all I had the whole week. Yes my profession dosnt allows me to avoid eating all of this. I go through a alot of food tastings. And it was so yummy and comfort food to me. I did not get mad and stressed about my weight and diet going wrong.
The simplest thing I did that I remained consistent on my workouts and if one meal is going wrong you are not going to become fat. My other meals were basic home food which was healthier. I added greens and enough protein in my other meals like proats, chicken, omelet, salads etc.

Its very important to understand about calories in and calories out. How much ever calories you consumed is supposed to be used by your body by keeping yourself active and adding more moments. Please do not consider alchohol in this it has got no benefits its just empty calories.

Make food your best friend, eat what you like and track your moments ๐Ÿค˜

Carbs are not evil. They donโ€™t make you fat. Infact, you can lose body fat while being on a high carb diet( make sure you are eating a bit less that your maintenance calories). Moreover, carbs will help in improving your energy levels and atheletic performance at the same time.
