Thursdays are Mama + Sawyer days. We like these days a lot. Mama does her best to put work aside for most of the day and we do things together, just us two.
The mom guilt has been a bit real since having him. He’s my second born which means Jackson had me all to himself every day for 26 months before Sawyer was born. Sawyer has not had that opportunity. So, I’m doing my best to give him some individual time like his brother had. Where he has my undivided attention and we play games, do learning activities and run errands. Sometimes lunch dates out and about, too.
After my shower this morning, I grabbed a cup of coffee while on my way up to get ready for the day and I heard this little voice yell from the kitchen, “mommmyyy wait for meeee!” His little feet pounded up my stairs and he wiggle jumped up onto my bed. Plopped down with a water bottle he must have grabbed from the kitchen and said “I have coffee, too?” ☕️ Bless his heart, it made me melt.
So here we are. Having a morning coffee date in bed. ❤️ The little moments are everything. It’s not really the big gesture and events, it’s the small ones. Don’t miss them. #motherhood #motherhoodrising #smallstuff #coffeedate - 1 hour ago
