We are honored to have Elisabeth represent the Hagen community as she moves on to the Semi-finals (top 18) of the US Barista Competition in Orange County, CA. Elisabeth comments "So far, the competition has gone well and i'm just thrilled to be in the Semi-finals. Today the coffee is tasting even better than yesterday, so my fingers are crossed!" Elisabeth is serving our very own Hagen Roasters Finca Mikava from Risaralda, Colombia. On espresso, this unique coffee tastes like ruby red grapefruit, raspberry, cocoa nibs, and white wine-like riesling.
Paul and Kevin Doyle won the number one Colombia Cup of Excellence this year with a score of 92.71, and we are proud to have purchased a later harvest of that same crop!
