Always and I mean always clean your stamps before putting them away.. for longevity👍
Yes, its important to clean your stamps between colors also, esp if you are using multiple colors of ink in one project.
Between colors I use non abrasive baby wipes to wipe off the residual ink before inking it again with a new color.
The quickest and easiest way to clean your acrylic stamps before putting them away is with warm water and a mild soap.
For really stubborn ink, you can also take a soft, old toothbrush and gently scrub the crevices in the stamp and air dry them.
There are a number of good cleaners on the market for cleaning your stamps but baby wipes and water+soap work for me the best.#whodoesnthavebabywipes right? 🟩
If your stamps lose their stickiness, its time for a nice wash.
Once cleaned the stamps will start sticking to your block again.
Also, clean your acrylic blocks to prevent stray ink marks accidentally getting stamped on your paper.😨
Some inks are really stubborn, but don’t fret, the stain on your stamps from the ink won’t affect its stamping outcome. You ll just have to live with little blackish/ reddish stamps.
Please avoid using acetone, bleach or any oil based cleaner for your stamps..
And when I say avoid…i mean DONT😱
➡️ to see the process video of me incessantly stamping little helpless pieces of cardstoc.
can you guess what I made with these 6x6 cardstock? 🤔 .
Ps: yes I know I have ink in my nails.
Are you even a maker if you don’t have ink in your nails?? Ha? #signsofamaker
