오늘은 저녁 설거지 후 고무장갑을 벗으며 비장하게 피아노 앞으로.
오늘 선생님이 레슨 중 마음을 울리는 말씀을 가슴에 새기며.
‘내 손가락에 확신을 가지고! ㅎㅎ 내 손을 믿고!’ 그렇다. 생각해보니 나 요 근래 2주간 첫째녀석 독감과 가족들 감기를 빌미로 마음이 헤이해진거다. 연습량이 부족하면 확신을 가질 수 없다. 운동이든 악기든 연습량이 부족하면 금세 드러나기 마련이다. 다시 마음 다잡고 연습량 채우기!!!

The workshop will start with a 90-minute Dharma Yoga practice. It will include pranayama, a series of stretching, balancing, back-bending, twisting, and inverted postures.  We will gradually work towards more advanced forms of asanas, focusing on back-bending postures.  All levels, except complete beginners, are welcome as many options will be offered.

We will conclude the workshop with a 30-minute Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a deep-rooted relaxation technique that restores one’s inner balance by breaking free from the stress of life.  This result occurs on an unconscious level as your bodily systems become healthy, balanced and refreshed.  Yoga Nidra is a form of active meditation and it will leave you feeling renewed and recharged.

Something so simple yet powerful. 
Gratitude. 
It’s no secret that being grateful can make you happier and reduce stress. There’s a lot of scientific research that proves that the practice of gratitude can improve the quality of life. 
The practice may begin with just acknowledging what you are thankful for....but it grows into a deep feeling in the chest and heart of warmth. A connection built that one can feel within of thankfulness .....perhaps its for this day, for what you do have, for who you are, the people in your life, and so much more. The truth is the deeper you can connect to the feeling of gratitude the more powerful it is.

So when we think of something we’re grateful for or are tempted to list them off swiftly. If we take a moment to pause and linger in the gratitude and to fully feel it. If you can’t feel grateful in this moment, give yourself grace and compassion. Be proud that you have tried and continue to keep trying. Perhaps set a goal to find one thing that you can be grateful for, like the ability to just breath or to have access to internet to see this post. Start small, and practice often. The more you practice, the easier it will become.

and contentment with what is
in a way contradictory 
but you cannot live your life
accepting that which doesn’t serve you
so first assess the behavior that hinders you
make changes, find support 
you have control over your own behavior
removing the thorn is the easy part
in my opinion

on one hand it’s critical to strive for growth
but if you can’t see the forest for the trees
you miss out on appreciating yourself
all the wondrous things 
that make your life great now 
it’s an existential truth
but all of this is temporary
and if we pin our happiness

Work from the past days. I was all over the place, but at least I was in the place. I bought @mitchleeuwe PDF for character construction. Well worth the money and I'll buy more shortly. I also am going to start working in color earlier vs grayscale. @bucciblog also starts with color much earlier in his process.

The third panel is my exploration and design of a trans femme robot character. I'm super duper excited for them: Solomon. .
