Dandasana - vypadá to jednoduše, ale pro většinu lidí není, protože sedět rovně není jen tak. 
Pokud se většinu dne hrbíte, tak budou svaly přední části hrudníku zkrácené a ty vzadu slabé. Narovnat se moc nepůjde. Stejně tak povolené břišní svaly neudrží bedra tak, aby se nezakulatila a pánev se nenakláněla dozadu.

Ale nezoufejte, proto máme jógu a ta dokáže svaly posílit a protáhnout 👍 
V bio najdete 4 jógová videa do 10 minut, tak žádné výmluvy, že nemáte čas udělat něco pro své zdraví a šup na to 👍🙂 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️ ... Korková podložka @aryamashop

It’s quite nice to transition between downward facing dog and your next sitting posture. At first you think your legs are going to get tied up and you can’t help but fear that you’ll crash on your back but give it a go .. believe you can - and it might just work. 
Bend your knees. Create space in your lower belly lifting it up towards your spine. Look forwards. Create a spring with your legs and fly through crossing your legs then un-crossing once they get your hips in front of your torso. Feels nice.

To be able to execute this pose well, warm up first with hamstring and hip opening stretches such as lizard pose, goddess, half pigeon and happy baby poses. #UpavisthaKonasana es el nombre en sánscrito para una postura que en español a veces se llama Flexión Sentada hacia delante. El término original en el Yoga está compuesto de tres palabras: «upavistha», «kona» y «asana»:
«Upavistha»: significa literalmente «sentada/o».
«Kona»: significa «ángulo».
«Asana»: significa «postura».
«Konasana» forma una sola palabra, que es muy utilizada en el Yoga (hay otras posturas con esa palabra, como por ejemplo la Baddha Konasana) y significa «postura del ángulo». Junto con «upavistha» significa literalmente «Postura del Ángulo Sentada».
Con las piernas tan separadas estás formando un ángulo que es el que se forma en las konasanas, de ahí la última palabra del nombre.
El nombre en español de la Upavistha Konasana es muy clarificador porque describe la asana en su posición final: se trata de una flexión hacia delante estando sentado (se empieza desde #Dandasana). Aun así, es mucho más utilizado el término tradicional de la Upavistha Konasana.

La reina de las poses sentadas, dandasana. Una de las ventajas de dandasana es que puede practicarse casi que en cualquier sitio. Especialmente para la gente que hace trabajo de oficina, 1-2 minutos de dandasana en cada turno de trabajo le revitalizarán y corregirán su postura, y lo más increíble es que ¡nadie se dará cuenta que estás haciendo yoga!

Dandasana (la pose del palo o del bastón)

Si tuviera que elegir la versión sentada de #tadasana, esa sería dandasana. Entre otros beneficios, dandasana corrige la alineación en la posición sentada. En una sociedad donde nos pasamos casi toda la vida sentados, es de vital importancia la correcta postura de los involucrados (muslos, cadera, columna vertebral) en esta posición. Además de corregir la alineación, la correcta ejecución de dandasana acondiciona muslos, pantorillas, psoas y abdominales. Dandasana prepara el sistema músculo-esquelético para flexiones más agudas del plano delantero, como #Paschimottanasana.

I am planning some Yoga Study Days this year. Each will be structured around a philosophical theme and provide an opportunity to experience a complete practice of active and restorative asana, pranayama and meditation. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Kicking off in April with the Guna – rajas (movement), tamas (inertia) and sattva (clarity). In what areas might we need more ‘movement’ or flexibility, and where might we benefit from more structure, stability or ‘inertia’ in order to allow ‘clarity’ to prevail.

Thursday 9 and Friday 10 April, 9.30am-4pm, £50 per day.

The two days can be booked together or independently (they will not be exactly the same). Lunch will be provided and accommodation is available for anyone that might like to stay overnight (after six months of renovations I'm excited to share more about that very soon). This exercise is fantastic for finding your core, and stability in posture through neutral spine. With the additional “flossing” through the hamstrings as you move with breath in and out of a seated forward fold.

Start by sitting evenly through both ischeal tuberosities or “sit bones” or the pointy boney parts of your bum. Option here to sit on a block to allow for more space in hamstrings.

Flex your feet up and press the backs of the knees down to engage the quadriceps (thighs). Pull lower abdominals up and in. Raise arms overhead and pull shoulder blades down the back and in towards each other.

Stay seated here in active muscular engagement for a few breaths before starting to hinge forward from the hips keeping a neutral spine, avoid rounding the back! Lead from the sternum (chest plate) and keep arms beside the ears. .

Inhale to lift up then exhale to hinge forward, inhale to come back up to seated and exhale to hinge forward. You will notice the backs of the legs will start to release with each round of breath and repitition of movement. .

Option to stay in a seated forward fold for a few extra breaths, hang on to the outer legs, feet or ankles for support to assist maintaining neutral spine and pulling through the chest. Use a strap to wrap around the balls of the feet as a modification to hands to feet. It’s not important how deep you go!!! Only go as far as neutral spine allows! .
