There's this habit that a lot of people do with food.

I do it sometimes. I used to do it like almost every day.

When it happens it never feels good. It feels icky as it's occuring, during there's often guilt or shame and then after there's the physical/mental/emotional affect.

What is it you ask?
Not eating properly (amount or frequency) and totally bonking out.

There's no hard and true way for everyone to eat to keep their body balanced.
There are commonalities of cause and effect and there are things that over all help keep your body thriving.

The best thing you can do is, eat balanced meals regularly.
Before you get all defensive saying you don't have time for that.

Think about when you are not nourished, exhausted and bottoming out....
Do you have time to feel disoriented,  weak and exhausted?
What about getting hangry and saying the wrong things?
When you do eat, you're grabbing the high sugar ladened foods that spike you fast and then the headache - exhausted - can't move feeling hits you.
How much time does all that cost you?

Basically your lack of planning proper nutrition costs you TIME.

Setting up for success by properly nourishing your body saves you time  and so much more!

When I was a kid, I'd get lost in books for hours. I remember hiding under the covers long after I was supposed to be asleep with a flashlight so that I could read my books.

Reading is still one of my favourite past times & something we prioritize in our home. Jiya loves books - the fact that she sees both Krishn & I reading has helped encourage her to pick up books on a regular basis. The best time of day with her is story time before bed...there's no other distractions & we can bond + have conversations about the stories we're reading.

A few years back I started to get into podcasts/audiobooks - I love these tools for listening on the go & making better use of my time. After awhile though, I found I really missed the feeling of sitting with a physical book.  I made it a goal to sit & read on a daily basis...even just for 15-20 minutes. I turn off my phone & try to eliminate other distractions. (I usually attempt this early morning when I won't be interrupted, but when that doesn't work out fit in over lunch or before bed.)

Reading on a daily basis is one of the greatest tools you can use for stress relief & mental stimulation. Research has shown that reading helps to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s & Dementia since engaging your brain prevents it from losing power. Often we can forget our stresses & worries when we lose ourselves in a great book. A novel or engaging article can transport you to another world & keep you in the present moment. It also helps improve verbal & written communication skills, expands you knowledge & is free entertainment!

They say, “15 dips a day keeps atrophy away...” or something like that. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Just trying to keep some of my progress while navigating the last couple weeks of the semester. This is where working out becomes easily disregarded, but instead of not working out completely I allow for fewer total sets and decrease the intensity (80-90% of the normal weight, 80-90% of the normal repetitions). This also allows for great form and working on weaknesses without having to swallow your pride on your favorite lifts. Plus it leaves room for a challenge set or two at the end, lighter weight drop sets (fun!). .

Da setter jeg meg gjerne ned med en kopp te og noe godt å knaske på og planlegger den kommende uken💕  Det å legge gjøremål inn i kalenderen gjør meg mer effektiv.

Ingen rekker over alt og da må man legge inn det viktigste.

Du har sikkert kjent på stress når alt som ikke haster, men som bare må gjøres, blir  hengende over en.

Stopp stresset ved å planlegge og legge det i kalenderen, for da har man satt av tid til det og da er det ingen unnskyldning!

Hvis du ikke legger det inn i kalenderen er det så lett og utsette.

Jeg legger feks inn telefonsamtaler, når jeg skal studere, når jeg skal jobbe med egne prosjekter og mat som skal lages.

Dette gjør hverdagen så mye enklere og man får gjort så utrolig mye mer når det faktisk er skrevet ned 🙏🏼
