And it's a hard cycle to break with the media shoving every bad story down our throats. ⁠

I caught myself in that funk on Wednesday but then I got to coach CrossFit at @Crossfit_Salem.⁠
⁠
And that turned me around. I got my sweat on, I sat it that discomfort, I overcame it, I got threw it and then I got to coach my people through another class. ⁠

I saw athletes that have been working hard to better themselves. Making changes, taking action. ⁠

And that Shit just lights me up. ⁠

‼️ Două lucruri care ne împiedică să luăm cele mai bune decizii când vine vorba de slăbit și alimentație sănătoasă:
👉🏼Mindset-ul de perfecționist, adică totul sau nimic: ori mănânc 100% curat, ori nici nu mă obosesc, ori sunt la dietă strictă, ori mai bine nu încerc, dacă am făcut o greșeală și m-am apucat de dietă, am stricat totul, pot la fel de bine să continui să mănânc prostii etc. Sună cunoscut?
👉🏼Vinovăția: nu pot să cred că am mâncat înghețată, deși mi-am propus să renunț la dulciuri (minimizând complet toate alegerile bune pe care le-ai făcut în ultima vreme); nu pot să cred că iar nu m-am abținut și am luat niște prăjiturele de pe masă, deși mi-am propus să nu mănânc, off, iar am stricat tot, nu sunt în stare, nu voi reuși niciodată
‼️Voi cum stați la acestea capitole? 🙂 în misiunea mea de a elibera femeile de tirania dietelor și a le împrietenii cu mâncarea și corpul lor, lucrez zilnic cu aceste blocaje. Cum le depășim? Ușor nu este, dar nici imposibil.

It’s time to stop quitting when you would usually quit. It’s time to stop following in the same habits and patterns that you have been following and expecting a different outcome. What if it’s this simple? Just to look at what you are doing, seeing what isn’t working, and making some small changes!!

Dressing: PLAIN balsamic vinegar with a squeeze of lemon and s&p. The oil they use in the chicken, broccoli and sweet potatoes have enough fat in my opinion and I don’t like to use macros on dressing. This is personal preference though so do what works for you!⁠⠀

Sometimes I also get the hummus on the side or chick peas depending on what I want - so good!⁠⠀

I always have to remind myself, that it is okay to treat myself to something sweet and delish once in a while! So, while it's national donut day, I want to have a nice delicious sweet treat.

You have to do what’s right for you and not what society says is right for you! Leave diet culture alone, because no matter what you do, society will never accept who you are as a person.

They only care about what you look like on the outside. Don’t ever give into them!!!

Remember sneaking snacks at 3am at a sleepover. That favourite home made comfort meal (mine was shepherds pie). Seconds and thirds on Christmas Day without a serving of guilt. The biggest slice of cake on your birthday.

Remember picnics on the park in the sunshine. Ice cream at the seaside when a swimsuit didn’t make you want to curl into a ball and shrink away. Wearing shorts because it was hot, instead of because you felt your thighs were acceptable today.

Remember when food was comfort and joy. Remember when fullness was soothing and warm. When movement was always joyful. Remember when your worth couldn’t be measured by a number.

Remember a time when societies messages about what was acceptable to eat and how it was acceptable to look didn’t even enter your mind. Remember that freedom. And search for it. Eating Out Successfully~ anyone?

Are you tempted when eating out to choose unhealthy foods? 
With a little bit of planning and these strategies, you can be prepared and ready to make healthy choices.

EATING OUT GUIDE🍽

1. Don’t use eating out as an excuse to eat off plan. Stay committed to your plan and remind yourself of your “why”
2. Look at the menu ahead of time and plan what you are going to eat that lines up with your plan
3. Choose S meals. Ask for their low-carb or keto choices
4. Choose a baked, broiled or grilled protein
5. Hold the carbs and look for those vegetables
6. Take along your low carb tortilla and sweetener
7. Keep your hunger level in check by having a small snack prior to your meal so that you don’t show up super hungry
8.Enjoy your meal and savor every bite
