Over 7,000 people walked in NYC Tuesday June 2nd. I saw so many walks of life. Not Just Blacks and Whites. All races, all genders, all sizes, all ages. We were all marching for the same cause. The same conservations and problems in this country. Racism and Police Brutality in our Nation. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmad Abrey, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland, Freddie Gray, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Tahmir Rice, Philando Castile, Alton Sterling, Botham Jean, Laquan McDonald, Oscar Grant, Leroy Browning, Stephon Clark, Deonte Keller, Willie McCoy, the list goes on. All killed for simply being Black. If you aren’t Black, keeping educating your peers, families, and yourself. This conversation isn’t just for today or tomorrow or next month but this the conversation now. Do your research!!!! But because of my skin color and because I’m Black and White, I won’t ever be affected in the same way that my darker skinned brothers and sisters are affected. Our biggest weapon is our VOICES. We need to keep utilizing them and Non-Black people keep using your privileges so we can voice the truth. We need to continue uniting, fighting, protesting, donating, signing petitions, educating, and using our VOICES.
