Attn Das loves: we've realized we have been so busy focusing on our work that we haven't stayed as personal & true as we'd like, so we're taking the next few posts to reintroduce you to our ever-blossoming souls.
Leviticus Jones is an award winning artist, musician, and steampunk designer based primarily in a small alley full of avant garde graffiti in Helsinki. He rose to fame in the early 2000s when his indie pop boy group OnionsFün topped the charts with "Dixie Chicks don't Hatch / or Die," which dealt with themes of governmental conspiracies surrounding the Dixie Chix and urban farming. His fame further escalated when rumors swirled that he was purportedly dating the mother of New Zealand's darling singer Lorde.
Leviticus has been described by critics as "provocative," and "having a difficult to determine ethnicity--maybe Latino?" To his devoted fans, however, Leviticus is the man with the magic, the shower crooning star who fearlessly draws on spaghetti westerns to inform his photography, and who isn't afraid to expose the inner mechanisms of society. His art speaks to urban themes, city scapes, stern jawlines, backstage passes, and a love of living a carefree shirtless life. His work can be summed up by a quote he gave to Dr. Sumeria Llloyd for her book "The Boy Luck Club:" "I believe art is a verb. I art. You art. He/she/it art. If you art in a big way at JC Penneys, keep walking. If I art beneath the bedsheets, don't put your head under there for a while." #truth #preach #finland #steampunk #juul #crocs #timmyturner #dolphins #airpods #latecapitalism #hot - 18 minutes ago
