Not Mordor but els Encantats
I took this photograph from the terrace of a high mountain refuge in Aigüestortes NP in the Pyrenees (Spain). I was enjoying a well-deserved beer after a whole day of trekking up and, suddenly, a gap opened between the clouds letting pass a few rays of sunset that dyed dramatically orange a whole strip of the mountain in front of me. I couldn't help but run downstairs and get my camera and tripod out of my backpack as well as the telephoto to get this panoramic view.
The two twin peaks in the middle of the image are called "els Encantats", the enchanted ones. "The name comes, like many other mountains, from an ancient legend. It seems that two hunters, one Sunday morning, wishing to be the first to hunt the chamois, did not go to Sunday service, so they were cursed being petrified forever, converted into those two vertical peaks."
