An ocean of sand. 🌊 .
While we’re no longer near any dreamy sand dunes like this, we’re right next to an actual ocean! .
As you may know, a little over a month ago we quit our jobs to travel, but things on the road started to get a bit harder with the current state of things and our beloved national parks were closing. 😫
Tiny living requires a lot of exposure to others. Our fridge is small which required us to grocery shop every 5 days, we need to do laundry in close proximity to other people, and we utilized public showers pretty often... until they started to close. I’ll spare you the details but smell may have been a concern (pee-yew!)
We realized we were too exposed. For our health and the health of strangers we decided to find a less mobile, slightly larger place to isolate before we go to a family member’s house to wait out this pandemic. One day we were in Southern California and 4 days later we were in Florida. It was a miserable drive, but we feared that if we took our time we may have issues getting into Florida. .
Why Florida? Well, we’re lucky enough to have a family member with a vacant condo just an hour from my mom! So incredibly thankful to have such a wonderful place to isolate and most of all...shower. - 6 minutes ago
