On our way back from Lake McKenzie we decided to search for Basin Lake; a small fresh water lake that’s only found if you know where to look.
It’s not marked on the map you’re given and there’s no signage on the road, but if you have a Navman in your car you can keep an eye out for it. Once near it, look out for a small 2-3 space car park on the right and a walk track on the left.
It’s a 15 minute steepish walk and quite easy to find. It felt like we were the first to discover this amazing place that’s so secluded, and untouched.
If you make the trip there, please only leave footprints and take memories. - 45 minutes ago
