last week was a nightmare. i know what brought it back: i shared something with my mom and her response made me feel invalidated. i remember writing "i need control and i don't care if it hurts." it went downhill from there.

last night was difficult, really difficult, but thankfully i woke up today and right in the moment i opened my eyes, i thought "what the actual f*ck was that?" so i proceeded to challenge myself all day, trying to do things right and get back on track.
.
but i wouldn't be able to do it if i were alone and that's why i thought i should put out there a reminder of how powerful it is to reach out for help when we're losing our minds. my wife rachel and my best friend @marilawachi are amazing humans and i'm really thankful for all they've been doing.

i know we're all social distancing, but don't deprive your mind and heart of the relief of knowing you're not alone.

Many people make the silly mistake of associating carbs with “bad food choices,” often people find themselves cutting out carbs for dieting reasons, let me tell you why that’s not the right way to go about it. 
Carbohydrates are one of the main sources of ENERGY along side protein and fats. Carbs are broken down during digestion to form glucose. Glucose is then absorbed, transported and converted by our cells into energy. 
Carbohydrates are an ESSENTIAL fuel source for our muscles, nervous system and brain!

Night Snack ⭐️ Challenging something out of my Bewsh Box or Creamy Clister Combo 😻. Lidl Protein Yogurt  Vanilla  With @wheyheyofficial Whey Hey Chocolate 🍫 Caramel Crispy Clusters 😯 from my @bewshbox 🙌🏻
finally plucked up the courage to have something out of my bewsh box 😊 
After super scary dinner eating light snack was so tough but I knew I had to have it otherwise that defeats the object of challenging myself 😩 
Always feel like I don’t deserve anything out of it as it feels like a treat After not doing much all day I really wanted to change this however I’ve had I my eye on these for while really wanted to try them on so I thought Stuff it! 
They were absolutely lush crunchy crispy and chocolate it with a sweet caramel hint 
Thought they would go really well on top of a protein yoghurt so I asked my mum to pick me up some last week  I wasn’t sure what flavour would go best but vanilla is my ultimate fave and  seems like a fab option with the chocolate and the sweet creaminess  made for a taste sensation! 
I will  have to find out where I can get more of these cluster packets as I can see them coming a go to!

NGL I was so worried about how I was going to manage this and are you so overwhelmed with all the numbers I felt like I was being so greedy and eating way too much… but staying strong and force myself to eat it as I know that’s just part of recovery 😩 
tried to block out the bad thoughts with the taste and ml a sense of accomplishment for sticking to my plan and not restricting but anorexia is giving me such mental torture 😭 
however I’m glad I tried these and didn’t let anorexia win 
Restriction is never the Answer 
The only way to make the voices quieter is to listen to them and do the opposite so I must keep doing the scary thing 😦 
So saying Wheyhey Ana is not Winning Today 💯

This has not rang more true for me lately.  I’m in a wedding soon and the time had come a few weeks ago to order the dress. So that meant sizes and #’s. Neither of which I’m okay with yet.  So I had my therapist measure me (since I’m in treatment and couldn’t leave)and then she had me pick from 3 sizes. easier to let in than let out she said, so it was up to me to decide how much bigger I wanted it. I chose the smallest one praying that it would fit.  But I definitely felt the pressure to need to fit into it in order for it to work. The pressure to not eat  so that I could make sure it worked. Those thoughts ran rapid as I waited the week for it to be shipped to me. The dress came today and I had a session. We spent 45 minutes processing what it would mean if the dress didn’t fit.  And  I’m learning that , In the end, it just means it didn’t fit. That’s it. End of story. There’s nothing  wrong with me. Which is a hard concept for me. Nothing I need to change. So at the end of the session, I tried it on for her.  Me panicking as she zipped it up to see if I fit the dress. Turns out it was perfect. And oddly, It didn’t look so bad either.  In the end, I was able to relax and breath again.  very greatful for my team right now💜

I’ve never liked bullies. I mean who does? But I really can’t stand when people pick up on others’ fears, worries or anxieties & then try to use those pieces to profit off of them. In fact, that’s why I had to stop working with a business coach some years ago. We were NOT aligned. And yes, people need to make money. People need to make a living. People need to feel like they have a purpose. But not at the expense of others. This goes for getting “laughs” or “likes” too on social media. If your post only works by bringing another group of people down, then you too are profiting off of others. Quite frankly, it’s not funny and it’s not cute.

So during this time of incredible vulnerability, check in with yourself. What is the intention behind what you’re doing? What you’re selling? What you’re posting?
.
And for all you brave ones, getting up everyday doing life, you are my heroes AND please check-in with yourself, especially when it comes to buying things from ads on social media. And see what is your intention behind the desired purchase? If there’s a lot of promises or it sounds too good to be true, it very well may be, especially if it’s a diet, “lifestyle program,” or “wellness” product. And if a post is harmful, unfollow! Report as spam. Take care of your digital space.

We do often need support to recover and heal (huge fan of therapy & healers over here), but in my humble opinion that works by tapping into our authentic selves perhaps with the guidance of healers, NOT feeling bullied, pushed or pressured into make a purchase or feeling like there’s no other choice. Trust your voice. ♥️

- started that cursed Netflix series about tiger owners over brekkie, there is so much that goes on in this world that I’m more than happy to stay out of 😂
- enjoying the purpose work gives me, don’t know where I’d be if I had to float through each day like a wet plastic bag on the endless expanse of quarantine ocean 🙏
- care package arrived from @comfortcardsbymarit and my sock collection increases, never been happier👌
- had straight up soup and dumplings for lunch and a snack, I’m unstoppable🦸‍♂️
- found many blackmail pictures of my brother by going through the entire post history of one of my primary schools, tragic that I missed their Facebook debut by a couple years, will see if I can dig out some old pics soon 👀

It’s actually really interesting what we define as healthy and in healthy. Smoking is obviously bad for you, but is restriction of certain foods that are deemed “unhealthy” any better? How is it healthy to fear weight gain rather then to feed what your body wants. Is it really more “healthy” to restrict then to eat what you want? 
When my eating disorder was at its worst people used to praise me for how “healthy” I was even through I was smoking AND restricting and excessively exercising. Is  it really health when I look a way that fits societal standards? Even though my body is suffering on the inside? 
I think it’s time to redefine the word healthy. Health should be to love your self regardless of what you eat. Health should be to feed your body what it needs and what it wants. Health should be to be active in a way that you love not to loose weight. 
I think it’s important to ask our selves these questions because most people suffer from disordered thoughts regarding health. 
Also I want to say that smoking is not healthy at all but neither is restriction and self hate. Just something to think about. 💛🖤💛🖤
