im still super sensitive about calories. i don’t EVER count at home when im cooking my own meals, but the second i see the calorie information i get so triggered! so whenever i want to eat somewhere that they say the calorie information on the menu, i have to turn around and my mom helps me by telling me what’s on the menu, so i can’t see the calories

today, we were ordering online and i wanted a sandwich, so my mom read off the options to which i decided on a chicken sandwich. i looked over at her, and right on the cell phone screen was the calories in the sandwich😭

i wasn’t trying to see the calories but i just happened to, and i felt so upset i started crying. i was thinking about how before my ed, it was so easy to pick any item i wanted and i didn’t even SEE the calories on a menu even though they’re blatantly obvious now, and how i wish so bad that i didn’t feel like crying after seeing the amount. unfortunately, i selected a different but similar sandwich. i don’t know the calories it was but i don’t care if it was less or more, im just proud to have eaten a sandwich for the first time again!!

Ok so can we talk about how I actually love @ddlovato so insanely much! During my time in quarantine I’ve been able to spend countless hours researching others speaking on their own self love journeys and she was certainly one of the most beautiful gems I have found so far. This time has really allowed me to discover all the little things, people and places (within the boundaries of nature around me) that make me really happy. And that’s what I am going to spend every single minute striving to figure out for myself. What makes me happy, what is my perfect? Because it certainly can’t look like someone else’s happiness, or someone else’s perfect. It’s unique for everyone. So here’s a list (so far) of things that make me happy:
•Music •Cheesy 80s movies (guys I just watched dirty dancing and OH MY GOODNESS!)
• Baking • sleeping in
• walking my doggies
• singing in my room late at night
• hugging my family • walking by the reservoir near my home to watch the sunset
• and watching people talk about their our self acceptance journeys
• brief talks with friends
• laying in bed midday

1️⃣ During social isolation doesn’t mean you have to isolate! FaceTime & phone calls are a amazing way to communicate with loved ones! You can still go outside for a walk to help ease your mind! (Keeping safe distances away from others) Getting some fresh air and exercise can help with your mindset and overall wellbeing!

2️⃣ Use this time to be appreciative! Be appreciative that you have loved ones to talk too. Be appreciative that you are able to rest and heal your body. Be appreciative that you have shelter, food & water. Many people do not have that luxury💗

3️⃣ Read one of the million books you have bought but haven’t had the time!! Don’t feel like reading? That’s okay! Watch a movie, TV show, etc! 
Don’t stress about what you have or haven’t done during this time. Your routine has changed and it’s okay if you are struggling to adjust! 🥰
