🎄Day Fifteen of my positive thoughts about my Mental Health Advent Calendar🎄
As I posted the other day, I went through many years hating on life because I had been diagnosed with OCD, but reflecting on it, I realise that those experiences have allowed me to be more empathetic than most towards other people🙌
I understand how a person who is loud, happy and always smiling can be depressed, I understand how some people don't cry when they lose a loved one, I understand why people put this big protective shield up around them and don't let anyone in when they are struggling.
I like to think, I can try and understand most situations, I like to try and pride myself in being honest, trustworthy and a person people feel they can talk too, because I know how it feels to feel like you have no one😪
My OCD and mental health, is a daily struggle, some days more than others, but in the same breath I can say, my OCD has made me a better person in more ways than one, it took time and the fight will always be there but looking for the positives really helps🥰
To everyone, no one is alone, you just gotta accept you're struggling to be able to accept some help💜
