Growing up we had a wood burning stove. My mother and I used to stick cloves into an orange and then set it near the stove and I remember the aroma just being so inviting. When I smell our Clove essential oil, it brings me right back because of its beautiful warm and spicy aroma. Did anyone else do this as a child? Such a great memory.
Along with its stimulating and energizing warm, woody aroma, did you know Clove is especially useful for dental hygiene? You can place a drop into two ounces of water and gargle for a soothing effect. You can also add a drop to your toothpaste, which promotes clean teeth and fresh breath. (Its in the OnGuard whitening toothpaste!) For an even extra clean feeling, apply one drop Clove oil to your teeth and gums after a trip to the dentist!
Clove contains powerful antioxidant properties and supports cardiovascular health too. Add 1-3 drops into a veggie cap to take internally. Because Clove oil has a warming sensation to the skin, it’s wonderful to use in massage therapy. (Make sure to always dilute with fractionated coconut oil as it’s a hot oil). After a long day, a nice warming shoulder massage with Clove oil sounds heavenly!
