1️⃣ Consume less than you move - calories In vs calorie out will always be the analogy⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Lift them weights - resistance weight training 3-5 times a week will increase your chances of losing body fat⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Being forced to close down on the 15th of March & after 11 weeks of lockdown finally our beloved gyms have reopened....... Didn't really stop moving or #exercising  but being in public where like minded people are is so much better than isolation. Back in the game of movement - remember exercise is medicine.

Not sure this photo shows how much I'm sweating even though I'm struggling my way through insanity max 30 month two, even though my body ache and I'm spending more time on the floor then actually workout out, I'm still sweating and burning over 300 calories during this workout. Max Sweat definitely does just that too you, you sweat.

Thursday 4th June 2020

How about that, 2 posts in 1 week!? Quite recently my mental health has been dipping low again, partly due to unhealthy living choices and also due to the ripple effect of social media and the news.
Particularly last night was a difficult one, I was battling with thoughts and as a consequense could not sleep at all. Nevertheless with these challenges one must conquer them so instead of sobbing in bed I got up at 5am and freshened up. I ate an apple. Did some fitness. This took up till 6:15am  where I then sat an ate a bowl of weetabix and had a glass of water.
When watching this video you will notice how my dog was distracting me whilst running, however I still tried my best and did not give up. (I would say every time I touched the ground with my hand was a run I thought was decent). Yes the rest of my day could still be depressing with me dealing with low moods but I am happy to know I am moving in the right direction not only by losing weight but tackling the demons in my mind.

My words of wisdom today is " You never know how good something really is until you give it a go". My song recomendation for today is : Glitter and Gold - Barns Courtney

My workout consisted of :

Sets of jogging on the spot
Sets of star jumps
Leg Stretches
Arm movement rotations

15 minutes use of exercise bike

A staggered amount of jogging on the grass.

Yesterday, I went for a #roadrun for the first time in 3 weeks! It didn't feel too bad but wasn't spectacular. I was actually fine with its mediocrity. I'm pretty sure that I need to replace my #runners. I #ran longer on a trail in my trail runners 1.5 weeks ago and had none of the upper leg discomfort I had yesterday. Ran around the #langaragolfcourse again, this time, it was open for golfing, as evidenced by the carts! I miss the one-way travel around the trail! 
Today, I went for a #roadride with a friend, though half of our #ride was my commute to/from our meeting point. The last 4 pics I took were all from the exact same spot, I simply turned to face other directions. It's that time of #spring in #Vancouver where the clouds are changing often and we never really know when we'll have a dry day. While rain doesn't stop me from commuting, it's not casual catch up #joyride appropriate. We rode along #crabpark to #stanleypark, then along the seawall all the way back to #scienceworld. 
Tomorrow is too stacked for any running or #riding. Friday has time for a ride. Saturday I will be trail running. Sunday looks wet...but depending on "how wet" might lend itself to a #mtb ride. Though I haven't been #mountainbiking since mid-March... A wet day might not be a good day to re-learn how to keep control of my beefer #allmountain bike. Plus, I ordered a bike rack for my car, and it just hasn't arrived yet. I kinda want to wait for it to arrive, so I don't have to fanangle my bike in and out of my car anymore!! Trying to get myself back into #exercising 6 days a week feels so hard these days, without #skateskiing. I definitely need to come up with some new #traininggoals. Goals keep me motivated but the trade off is that I like doing that activity much less. 🤣 I hate #training for #cardio with a burning fiery passion. Cardio is more "fun" when it's less structured. Yesterday, I went for a #roadrun for the first time in 3 weeks! It didn't feel too bad but wasn't spectacular. I was actually fine with its mediocrity. I'm pretty sure that I need to replace my #runners . I #ran longer on a trail in my trail runners 1.5 weeks ago and had none of the upper leg discomfort I had yesterday. Ran around the #langaragolfcourse again, this time, it was open for golfing, as evidenced by the carts! I miss the one-way travel around the trail! Today, I went for a #roadride with a friend, though half of our #ride was my commute to/from our meeting point. The last 4 pics I took were all from the exact same spot, I simply turned to face other directions. It's that time of #spring in #Vancouver where the clouds are changing often and we never really know when we'll have a dry day. While rain doesn't stop me from commuting, it's not casual catch up #joyride appropriate. We rode along #crabpark to #stanleypark , then along the seawall all the way back to #scienceworld . Tomorrow is too stacked for any running or #riding . Friday has time for a ride. Saturday I will be trail running. Sunday looks wet...but depending on "how wet" might lend itself to a #mtb ride. Though I haven't been #mountainbiking since mid-March... A wet day might not be a good day to re-learn how to keep control of my beefer #allmountain bike. Plus, I ordered a bike rack for my car, and it just hasn't arrived yet. I kinda want to wait for it to arrive, so I don't have to fanangle my bike in and out of my car anymore!! Trying to get myself back into #exercising 6 days a week feels so hard these days, without #skateskiing . I definitely need to come up with some new #traininggoals . Goals keep me motivated but the trade off is that I like doing that activity much less. 🤣 I hate #training for #cardio with a burning fiery passion. Cardio is more "fun" when it's less structured. The only #training that I love is #strengthtraining .
