Più durata e miglior tolleranza della fatica 💪  HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) è una metodologia d'allenamento che permette di sviluppare adattamenti fisiologici in determinate aree metaboliche utilizzando protocolli specifici: combinando opportunamente intervalli di lavoro, intensità, recupero passivo o attivo, numero di ripetute e serie, ecc. possiamo incrementare, per esempio, l'attività glicolitica per esprimere potenza più a lungo, o quella ossidativa per migliorare l'utilizzo degli acidi grassi o la capacità di recupero, o ancora incrementare l'attività dei trasportatori di membrana per ritardare l'insorgenza della fatica... per poi applicare tali adattamenti ai gesti sport specifici.

If there's one thing that's important to remember it's this: No effort goes wasted! All of these habits, techniques, tools, psych tricks, pro tips etc. that you've been learning all add up! Like drops of water in a glass, it will keep filling.

The reason no effort goes wasted is because of a little known wonder known as neuroplasticity. 
One example of no effort goes wasted and neuroplasticity is the study that showed saying nice things to plants can help them grow (yup, it’s true -- #PlantsLikeComplimentsToo), so wouldn’t saying nice things to yourself help you grow? 
Or think about it this way. Have you ever received a compliment from someone that you still remember to this day? Wow - what a powerful impact that sentence had. Now if someone else paid you the same compliment you would be even more inclined to believe them (that neural pathway would get even stronger... aka neuroplasticity) . This is the power of influence, whether it's coming from the outside world or from your inner world in the shape of an affirmation or new habit. 
The great thing about practicing these tools, such as meditation and affirmations is that the more that you do, the more the effects get ingrained in your neural pathways. Like drawing a line on a piece of paper, the more you go over the same area the thicker and darker the line. So even if you don’t necessarily always believe your affirmations, say them anyway!

🌅 Bondi was too beautiful...

Never seen so many aesthetically pleasing sunsets and sunrises....

It also reminds me of a time when all I trained for was an  aesthetically pleasing body....

There is absolutely 100% nothing wrong with wanting to look better, I would be a hypocrite of the biggest variety if I said I didn't....
•
But if your mindset is training is there solely for obtaining an optimal physique and that physique will make you happy....
•
If you disregard and fail to realise all the other benefits of training then you will never be comfortable with your body....
•
You will be sacrificing everything you love in life for what? For a 5% physiological change that took up 95% of your life....
•
If you got hit by a bus tomorrow, was all that 'clean' eating, constant dieting, no rest day weeks....
•
Skipping social events, frustrating over a bit of folding for holding all worth it....?
•
Because I can tell you first hand, the best you will ever look is the worst you will ever feel....
•
I eat more, train less, feel better and IMO actually look more robust, stronger and more healthy now than when I may have looked better to others....
•
Realise that being and feeling your optimal health is one that allows you to....
•
1️⃣ Be comfortable in the clothes you wear (or don't 😉)
2️⃣ Not always wearing black
3️⃣ Being in total control of your diet aka losing and gaining weight when you want
4️⃣ Lift heavy shit and put it back down
5️⃣ Socialising with confidence
6️⃣ Giving less of a shit for perfection #Consistency

3 reasons why weighing scales suck.

It is so easy to feel deflated by those b*stard weighing scales, one day your weight is down, the next it's up and you have no idea why, yet you're a slave to them, using them as your only means to track your weight loss progress. You need to ditch them pronto and here's why:

1. I mentioned above that one day the scales will tell you you weigh one weight, and the next, another. You think 'surely I can't have put on that much weight in a day' and no, you haven't. There are so many factors at play here, from how hydrated you are, to what you've been eating recently, to where you are in your cycle, yet you take what the scales say as gospel, but they are lying to you, step away!! 2.  How much you weigh doesn't tell you everything you need to know. Body composition is loosely described as the ratio of how much body fat you have compared to muscle tissue, and before anyone says 'muscle weighs more than fat' allow me to stop you right there, 1kg of muscle weighs the same as 1kg of fat, it's just denser and so takes up less space in the body so someone who has a higher ratio of muscle to body fat could quite easily weigh the same, if not more than someone who has more body fat than muscle tissue, however, these 2 people will look very different, the person with more muscle tissue will look slimmer.

3. Your weight does not define you. Have you ever looked at someone and thought 'oh, they must weigh X kilos' and then judged them on that? Nope! Or at least I hope not. No one walks around wondering how much other people weigh, so why are you so fixated on your own weight? Yes, it is clearly a good idea to be under a certain weight for good health, but obsessing over 1 or 2 kilos week in, week out is not great for your mental space. 
The only reason I measure my clients' weight is so I can measure how many calories they should be aiming to consume daily to lose body fat. That's it. 
A far better approach to tracking your weight loss progress is by taking before and after photos and taking tape measure measurements. You will also know if you are losing body fat by the way your clothes fit.
