For every amazing photo...there is
someone behind taking it (or a handy dandy tripod and a self timer). In most of my photos, it's my wonderful insta bae. 😂
I'd like to appreciate and dedicate his talent and patience for every time he has graciously taken the role as my personal photographer 😍
I'm doing a quick series the next couple of days on love languages to celebrate 7 years with my partner in crime this week! The first part is...you may have guessed it:
⭐APPRECIATION LANGUAGES ⭐
For me, the best way I like to receive appreciation is when someone expresses them in words while I like to give appreciation through hugs, kisses, and spending more quality time. Here are 3 different ways to express appreciation:
1️⃣To speak 🙊- Expressing gratitude verbally is the preferred way to let them know how they are appreciated. This is my preferred way of receiving appreciation. To me, it’s also what words are spoken. Bae likes to appreciate me by saying “Good job” because to him, that is a form of appreciation. However, it doesn't translate to appreciation to me. Literally saying “Thank you, I’m grateful, or I appreciate” is important to me.
2️⃣ To see 🙈 - Writing letters, giving them flowers, creating certificates are perfect ways for those who like to see appreciation visually. I love receiving letters and never throw away any cards and letters I receive while some folks may not think it is as sentimental. 3️⃣To feel ❤️- Feeling appreciation from someone could be getting a big hug or kiss from them. This is the best way I like to give appreciation but not necessarily the best way I like to receive them.
I think it’s also important to appreciate appreciation. For example, saying “Thank you I really appreciated you saying that. I’m so touched that I made an impact in you in that way.” can help encourage the other person to continue expressing appreciation in that way.
How do you like to be appreciated? and how do you like to give appreciation? - 1 day ago
