I did some “Restorative Yoga” this morning as a form of active recovery bc I’m feeling broken after my training sessions on Monday & Tuesday💀😂🙃. It’s really been a minute since I’ve properly done yoga hey and it showed!!🤣.....I felt it!!😭🥺💔. I swear, these yogis make it look way easier than it is🥺✨ (cough cough @thando_hestia_ 👀). An amazing 20min session, regardless💛 .
Video I attached is a bit of what is called Sun Salutation A🌞 (Chaturanga in frame 1 is my favorite part😍). I read that Sun Salutations are are a great way energize the body in the morning (when you can actually acknowledge & express you gratitude for the life-giving Sun - hence “Sun Salutation”😄) & improve blood circulation❤️.
They are also great for overall body strength, flexibility & tone. It was especially great for me this morning bc it also opens up the chest, shoulders & hips - which I really needed after the training sessions I’ve had this week.
And lastly, Sun Salutations are a great opportunity to not only express gratitude for the sun, but for anything in your life - your body, waking up in the morning...so they’re a lovely way to start your day💛 . So maybe find a YT video and try it out tomorrow morning after you wake up🌼. - 3 minutes ago
