Being M I N D F U L is hard🌱
It’s a practice.
It’s something we try and fail at.
It’s something we have to choose everyday.
Being mindful takes work, it’s takes learning and making mistakes.
It takes effort, dedication.
It is easier to stay asleep. To allow life to happen TO you not FOR you.
It’s easier to relinquish control and sit back and allow someone else to drive.
It’s harder to choose awareness, learning, seeing our not-so-easy to accept sides of ourselves.
Personally, I give and give and give and then collapse. I can see this lesson coming back over and over again allowing me many chances to find my balance.
It is easy to do things right when life is going well.
It’s harder to pick ourselves back up when things aren’t as we would like them to be, but that’s life, no?
To be mindful is to be W H O L E encompassing, accepting of ourselves when we are weaker and less certain.
To be mindful is to keep inquiring, to remain open to bettering ourselves.
Most of all being mindful enhances our experience of this life💛 Through deeper connections, more moments of joy in our day to day, and a calm and compassionate existence, that’s what makes it worth it🌻
I do not have it all figured out. I never will, but I learn through my collapse, the tools I have to pick myself back up.
Through softening, giving myself time, nurturing my body, quietening, meditating, journaling and reading, I fill up again.
But that’s me, what about you?
What O N E thing do you do to pick yourself back up when you fall? What is Y O U R remedy for your squishier days?
Remember to do that for yourself today. When times are good but
E S P E C I A L L Y when times are tough.
Forgive yourself and keep doing your best.
That’s all anyone wants from you 🌻 •
