Remembering those who fought for our freedom. Never met my grandfather on my dad’s side but he is remembered today, and every day, and we honor his memory by being peaceful in our hearts, and finding peaceful solutions before resorting to any other measures. “The Parachuting Priest,” this Army Chaplain was known at his bases for uniting the various religious groups on site, having soldiers over for home cooked family dinners, and being a wise, stern, and loving man. I hope we all remember those who put their best efforts forward in the greater good of our people and country. Change begins at home, and in your own heart. He made it a point to treat everyone with love and respect, and led by example. We are so fortunate to be where we are today, with such luxuries at out fingertips. I think about what generations before me had to endure so I could be here today, doing what I do, out of the safety of my home. In these times, it’s easy to complain about what you have not. Lets think more on how fortunate we are to be here enjoying this life, and to remember in appreciation those who sacrificed for us.
